Chapter 13 [Edited]

«How about we... invite them to the dorm?» Minho suggested, smiling proudly of himself. 

This was his second attempt in helping out. «Minho are you stupid- that's definetly not what we want-»

They had been sitting like this, for almost half an hour, thinking out how to actually fix this mess. The best suggestion till now had been to invite them to the SM building, to a practice room or something. There, they could call security if needed. 

Though... Jaeun wasn't sure that they would be needed. If there was ONE thing she knew about her parents, was that they would usually not end up fighting head-on with anyone.

«I think the best place to meet them is the SM building like you said earlier, Kibum.» 

Jaeun fiddled with her hands, nervously letting her gaze move between all the boys. Stressing was far from ideal during a pregnancy, but it was something Jaeun couldn't keep from doing. What else was there to do when you were supposed to meet your parents, and you had kept such... amazing news from them?

«Send them a message and tell them that you're meeting them there. I'll come with you.» Taemin said and tried smiling slightly.
«And we'll be waiting right outside the practice room, in case something happens~» Jonghyun added.  

She was thankful that they were so nice, and she was thankful that they were all ready to help out. 

She hadn't been the best housemate ever, due to her constant moodswings and hormonal crying, but they didn't seem to let it worsen their opinion on her.

Jaeun soon got out her phone, and started typing the message out. 'Hi! I'm free on Thursday. If it's possible, I'd like for you to meet me at one of the practice rooms at SM Entertainment's building. There's someone I'd like for you to meet.'

She breathed out, loudly enough for all of them to hear. Her mother would surely question why on earth they were meeting in a practice room, let alone a SM practice room. But nothing could be done about that sadly.

«Well then! It's decided. The meeting is on Thursday, right?» Jaeun ended up nodding at Onew's question. 

Oh, how would this work out?!

Thursday soon came around, too soon for Jaeun's liking. The meeting with her parents had been something she had been dreading for the last few days.

Her father was a strict man, with a lot of connections in the industry, aswell as the media. If he wanted to, he could end the careers of EVERYONE in SHINee. Which, of course, would not be ideal. 

But afterall, there wasn't much to do about all this.  

Her mother on the other hand, was a lot nicer than her father. Although still pretty strict, she was nowhere like her husband.

It was now finally time to make their way over to the SM building, and find the practice room they were supposed to meet in. Jaeun's parents had been pretty weirded out that they were meeting in a practice room, but that was the safest place where they could meet Taemin.  

Jonghyun, Onew, Key and Minho would stand outside, ready to go inside incase anything would escalate.

Jaeuns parents were at this point taking the elevator up to the floor Jaeun had told them to go to. «Isn't it weird that she's making us meet her in a practice room?» Her mother mumbled with a confused expression on her face. «She mentioned that she had someone she wanted us to meet. Maybe he's an idol... I just hope he's a decent person.» Her father wasn't responding. The thing was, that he was thinking. He was thinking about the person his daughter wanted them to meet. It was obviously going to be a guy, because she would NEVER just bring her friends to meet her parents.

In the meantime, Jaeun had hid herself behind Taemin, mainly focusing on her stomach. She was worried that her parents would flip out on her. But if they'd actually get angry, she wouldn't really blame them. She'd get mad too.
«Hey, Jaeun, don't worry... okay? I'll be there for whatever they'll say.» Taemin mumbled, as he gently  grabbed her hand and rubbed it. To Jaeun, this gesture was surprising, but it was reassuring.  

Before she could respond however, she heard the door to the practice room open, and immediately moved herself further behind Taemin. Her parents had finally entered the room, and stared at them both.
«Jaeun~ ... why are you hiding?» Jaeun's mother said and raised an eyebrow. «Um... I suppose you're the person our Jaeun wanted us to meet?» Her father had obviously been right about it being a guy. He was watching Taemin suspiciously while Jaeun gradually came out from behind Taemin.

«Mom, dad~ I missed you guys! Um... Yeah, this is... my husband Taemin.»
