HATE (Taemin fanfic)

Chapter 21

SHINee's manager drove them back to the dorm, where they were greeted with all the other members standing in the doorway to the apartment. Before their manager had left, he had alerted them that the couple would be returning home soon. Because of that, they were all overjoyed. Both by the fact that their friends were returning home, and that Jaeun and the baby were okay.

"Maaaan, we were all so worried for you...!" Key whined loudly, before wrapping his arms around Jaeun to give her a tight hug. "But you're fine now, and that's what matters!" Key glanced over at Taemin, before flicking his forehead. "God, you have to be careful with her-! She's pregnant, and there's so much that could go wrong...!" Taemin whined loudly, causing laughter to erupt from the other three members due to his tone. "I know, I know- it wasn't like I deliberately did it..." He muttered. Taemin finally turned to Jaeun, and linked their arms together. "Well, if you guys need us we'll be resting. Right?" Taemin looked down at her with hopeful eyes, which made Jaeun smile. "Yeah." She said. "We'll be resting."

Jaeun followed Taemin into their bedroom, and almost immediately laid down onto the bed. She felt dead tired. She laid her head onto her pillow, and closed her eyes while waiting for Taemin to come along. "I've never been this tired before." She muttered. 

Taemin laid down beside her, wrapping her in a warm embrace. "You had a difficult day yesterday, and today aswell, so that's probably what did it." He commented. Jaeun simply nodded, snuggling closer into his chest. They were both unaware that while they were resting, the picture of them in front of the hospital had begun circulating the internet. Articles were being written, speculating what relationship the girl in the picture has with SHINee's Lee Taemin. 

After a while, loud knocks came from the door into the room. It had caused Jaeun to awaken, and she slowly looked up at it as the person behind it continued knocking. "Taemin, Jaeun- oh God, this is bad-!" Jonghyun's concerned voice came from outside. Taemin was still fast asleep beside her. "What's bad?" Jaeun called out. She  began trying to pry Taemin's arms away from around herself, because she was actually starting to get worried due to Jonghyun's tone.

Before she could react, Jonghyun and Minho stormed into the room with a laptop. On the screen, was an article with the headline, 'SHINee's Taemin seen flirting with mysterious pregnant girl in front of hospital'. Jaeun's eyes widened, as she stared at the picture. There she was, pictured as clear as day. "Oh god...!" She whispered hoarsely. This was all just a sick joke, right?

It had only been a matter of time before their relationship would be exposed. It had been so incredibly dumb of them to sit outside the hospital in broad daylight, but they hadn't been thinking that they might be photographed! Why... at a hospital of all places?

Taemin had awoken at this point, but he remained pretty much half asleep the entire time while the three beside him continued talking. Jaeun closed her eyes, before burying her face into her hands. "W- what do we do...?" She whispered. "We can't exactly lie now either, and say that we're just friends... if it later comes out that we were lying, won't Taemin's career really be ruined...?" Jonghyun looked down at her. "The best thing is probably to talk to our CEO about the whole thing. You both need to be careful about this. Either way, Taemin's career might be in danger."

Taemin finally opened his eyes, and tilted his head. "Why's my career in danger... did I do something while I slept- I- what...?" His voice was hoarse sounding, and he looked pretty dead despite being awake. He had probably been sleeping really well. "Taemin, pay attention!" Minho hissed. "This is actually really serious!" Taemin simply shrugged, as he hadn't realized what was wrong. But as his gaze fell onto the laptop screen, his eyes widened. "W- WHAT?!" He choked. "God- who could've seen us?!" He stared in shock at the screen, at the picture of him and Jaeun. He thought back to when they sat in front of the hospital, but he really couldn't remember anyone spying on them. Not even watching them... Had he not been paying enough attention perhaps?
