Jaeun had slept so peacefully. It was amazing what the male she was cuddled against was able to do to her. It was... new, to say the least.
She slowly sat up, and yawned loudly by accident. She hadn't realized how loud it actually was, until Taemin's eyelids fluttered open. «Morn...» he whispered sleepily. A chuckle almost left Jaeun's lips at the way he spoke. «Slept well?» To that question, Taemin nodded, and proceeded to cuddle her even closer to himself if that was even possible.
Before the two of them could go home, she would have to go through another ultrasound to check on the baby. Just as she thought about the upcoming ultrasound, she felt the little baby kick. A kick that alerted her that he's alive and well. After the previous nights incident, she had now realized how easy it was to lose their precious child. Any sign of life, is a good sign to her. As strange as it sounded, she had already grown so fond of the child inside of her. So fond in fact, that she probably wouldn't be able to live with herself if she'd lose him.
After a while of Taemin snuggling up against her back, he finally sat up normally. «Ah, I slept so well! Thank you for being such a great pillow.» he cooed. «My favourite person to cuddle~»
A nurse entered the room, which made Taemin jump. He had expected her to knock at least, but Jaeun didn't seem too bothered at all. "Good morning you two!" The nurse said. "How did you sleep last night?" Jaeun tilted her head slightly. "Um... I slept pretty nice actually." she commented. "The only thing is that he was pretty active and all. It was kind of hard to fall asleep right away." She spoke calmly to the nurse, who was writing down what she was saying. "Okay..." The nurse hummed. "Has there been anything else? Any pain, blood...?" But to this, Jaeun shook her head. There hadn't been anything else happening. No blood, no pain, no nothing.
"Great! I'll bring in the ultrasound machine, so we'll get this all over with so you can go home." After writing down what Jaeun saying she hadn't had any other problems the night before, she left the room to go get the ultrasound machine. Taemin climbed off the bed to go sit down beside it, his gaze never leaving Jaeun. It was strange. He had still not become used to their affection for eachother. He was at times still expecting them to start bickering, but that was long over with. "Jaeun, you should've told me he was being too active- I could've sang for him or something?" Taemin sighed. "It's not bothering me. I actually feel happy whenever I feel him kick even if it's at a bad time like before falling asleep." Jaeun replied.
To that, Taemin simply looked at her for a few seconds. He couldn't argue with her on that. The nurse soon enough came around with the machine, quickly setting it up before getting it over with. "Heartbeat's normal... movement's normal..." she hummed. "Seems like you're good to go!" The nurse said happily. Jaeun smiled at the nurse, and bowed her head. "Thank you for taking care of me!" She said softly, before letting Taemin help her out of bed.
After a few minutes, the nurse disappeared out of the room with the ultrasound machine. "Your clothes are over there." Taemin pointed to a chair in the corner of the room. "Just go change, and I'll call our manager to come and get us." Jaeun did as she was told, and grabbed her clothes from the day before to start getting dressed. She took them with her into the bathroom, and started changing as quickly as possible. She wanted to go home. After getting dressed, Jaeun padded back into the main room and hummed softly while thinking. Did she have anything else with her...? Taemin was still on the phone with his manager, and she could also faintly hear someone else's voice. Jaeun walked up to the bed, and sat down while waiting for Taemin to finish up. Taemin ended the call after a couple of seconds, and glanced up at the female in front of him. "Manager will be here in about half an hour. If you're hungry, we have time to buy some snacks in the hospital snack shop." He explained.
Jaeun didn't feel particularly hungry, so she decided to just deny Taemin's offer. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she finally put on her shoes. "Okay, shall we go?" She asked, smiling brightly. Taemin nodded, a toothy grin plastered on his face. "Yeah, let's go."
The couple took the elevator to the first floor, and exited through the main entrance. When outside, they went to go sit down at a bench. But what they didn't know, was that they were being observed by two pairs of eyes.
"Geez, I'm tired..." Taemin whined. That whine earned a chuckle from Jaeun. "I thought you said you slept so well? What happened to that?" She chuckled. "I slept well, but I'm still tired...!" He said. The two people watching them were standing beside the entrance. Curiousity was clear in their eyes as they watched the exchange between the couple. "You'll get to sleep once we're home. I'll be your pillow then aswell!" Jaeun cooed, which earned a shocked expression from the two people. What was going on between this pregnant girl and SHINee's Lee Taemin?
The girl closest to them reached for her phone, and snapped a picture of the two, before motioning for her friend to walk along so that they wouldn't be spotted. And off they were...
Jaeun and Taemin were still happily unaware that their relationship might be exposed to the public in mere hours. The manager soon pulled up in the group's van, so the couple got inside, and were now finally on their way home again.
