HATE (Taemin fanfic)

Chapter 18

Taemin held tightly around Jaeun as he and the other SHINee members ran towards Taemin's car. There was no time to lose. Jaeun's stomach pains were getting worse and worse by the minute. Taemin gently placed Jaeun into the backseat, before realizing... they were too many to fit in his car. He then groaned, and pointed to the other car. "Someone has to take another car because all of us won't fit. Someone can sit in the backseat with Jaeun and in the front..."

Jaeun furrowed her eyebrows. What could possibly be wrong? Her doctor told her that if she was bleeding a lot and was in pain... that it could be a miscarriage. So she was going to lose the baby? She had literally just felt the little human inside of her kick, and now she was going to lose it?

The others divided into two groups. Minho and Key would go with Taemin, while the other two would take the other car. Now that everything had been decided in a hurry, they were finally on their way to the hospital. Minho was in the backseat, trying to make Jaeun calm down. The poor girl had started crying. Not only due to the pain, but because of the thought of losing her baby. She didn't want anything to happen to it... she didn't even know if it's a girl or boy yet.

"Jaeun... everything's going to be alright... please don't cry..."

Even Minho's soothing voice couldn't calm her down. She clung tightly to Minho, continuing to cry loudly. Meanwhile, Taemin was just trying to get to the hospital as quickly as possible. He just couldn't keep listening to Jaeun crying. It was hurting him. He didn't want to see her upset.

Minho was holding around her aswell, trying to comfort her as best as he could, but nothing seemed to work. Jaeun just kept on crying and crying.

Soon enough, Taemin arrived at the hospital, and parked near the ER so that they could get inside as quickly as possible. Once parked, he hurried outside, and picked her up. Minho and Key were right behind them. Jonghyun and Onew arrived a few minutes later.

Jaeun grabbed onto Taemin's shirt, clutching it tightly. She had never been in so much pain before... Taemin had spoken to a worker, and had been told to sit and wait until they'd get called. "Why can't they just take me in..." Jaeun whispered into Taemin's ear. The male just sighed as a response. "Everything will be just fine... the baby is going to be fine, okay? I'm sure of it." No. He wasn't sure at all. But he hoped that everything would be fine. Jaeun deserved at least that. He couldn't even imagine how it would break Jaeun to lose the baby. "Taemin... I... I'm not feeling any kicks. T- the first time I felt a kick... is that really going to be the last?"

Taemin looked down at her, and held a little tighter around her. "Jaeun..." Before Taemin could continue, a nurse interrupted him by calling Jaeun's name. She had also brought a wheelchair for Jaeun so that Taemin didn't need to carry her anymore. The nurse rolled her into one of the free rooms, and helped her onto the bed. Taemin hesitantly moved closer to Jaeun, and gently grabbed onto her hand. 

"Mrs. Lee... so you have been experiencing both bleeding and stomach pains... and you're pregnant. Correct?" The nurse asked. As a response, Jaeun nodded her head slightly. "Okay... You'll be having an ultrasound to check on the baby. I'd just like to let you know, that pregnant women sometimes bleed a little. Did you bleed a lot?" As Jaeun recalled the whole scare at home, there hadn't been THAT much blood. Although it seemed to be an alarming amount nevertheless. "It's not like it was tons of blood or anything, but it was similar to... um... waking up on your period I guess?" She hoped she was explaining it well enough. The nurse nodded along as she moved the ultrasound machine closer to the bed. "A doctor will come by shortly to perform the ultrasound. Just try to relax in the meantime." 

It honestly irked Taemin how the nurse was acting. Sure... she was obviously not the on that was going to do the ultrasound, but how could she tell Jaeun that she should try and relax?! He didn't say anything though, as he didn't want to seem rude. A doctor soon came by, and greeted both Jaeun and Taemin, before starting to prepare for Jaeun's ultrasound. Jaeun was instructed to lift up her shirt, which she did, and got some cold gel squeezed onto it afterwards. "Okay... let me see..." The doctor mumbled. He pressed the machine against her stomach, and looked over at the screen.

Taemin stared in amazement. He hadn't been allowed to attend any of her ultrasounds before, so this was all so new and exciting for him. This was the first time that he had been able to see his child.

"Okay... the baby looks fine to me. All the issues you were experiencing are likely due to stress, so I advise you to try and relax as much as possible during those last months." The doctor explained. It wasn't anything tooshocking really, and the couple were happy to know that their child was doing good. "Do you know the sex yet?" he asked. Jaeun looked away from the screen, and shook her head slightly. "Um, on my last ultrasound, they told me that the baby wasn't in the correct position to tell."

The doctor nodded, before pointing to the screen. "From the looks of it, it seems that you'll be having a boy..." He said. "Also, I'd advise you to stay the night in the hospital, so that we can monitor both you and the baby, to make sure the won't be any complications."

So she would have to stay the night in the hospital... Jaeun sighed a little when the doctor and nurse left the room, and let her gaze fall onto Taemin. "My stomach isn't hurting as much anymore..." she mumbled. Taemin just smiled, and wrapped his arms around her. "I'm glad..." This woman had become so dear to him over the course of her pregnancy, that it amazed him. 

"I love you, Taemin."

A/N: So, this was fucking intense- bUT IT BROUGHT THEM EVEN CLOSER Y'ALL! AAAAND, they now know the baby's sex- issa mini Taemin-
