"Aagh! I need help!" Sophie complained, throwing her chemistry book on the ground. 

"Not getting it sweetie?" her mom asked, sitting on her bed next to Sophie. 

"I'm just having a hard time I guess. I wish you could help me." 

Her mom laughed, shaking her head. "That information's long gone, but I know who does know." 

Sophie looked up at her, waiting for her to go on.  

"Dex. Remember, your cousin? His dad's an amazing chemist, and I've heard he's already moved on to physics. You should ask him, I bet he'd be glad to help." 

Sophie nodded, then got up to go call him. She had never contacted him before, but because they were family she had his number. 

"I'll leave you to sort this out." her mom said, leaving. Sophie waited as the phone as it beeped, then heard Dex's voice.  

"Hello?" 

"Hi, this is Sophie." 

"Hi Sophie! What's up?" 

"Could you help me with my chemistry homework, I have no idea how to do it." 

"Sure! I'll be right over. See you soon." Dex hung up, leaving Sophie's end with a dull beeping. That went better than expected she thought. Now that she thought about it, Dex was really nice. Maybe she should invite him over more.
