I couldn't help it, I just had to publish again(but don't get too used to it). I guess procrastinating all my studying could have some benefits... just not to me. Enjoy all you free people who were good students and understand math!
"A squared plus B squared equals C squared," Sophie muttered, puzzling over the hypotenuse of a triangle. Sunday afternoons often found Sophie working on all the homework she'd put off over the weekend.
"Why do Mondays always have to be rotten?" Sophie said aloud.
Riing! Riing!
Sophie picked up her rose gold phone, tossing a few blonde strands of hair out of her face.
"Hello?"
"Sophie! Come to the Vacker's right now!" Linh's voice screamed from the other side.
"What?" Sophie asked, slightly irritated, but curiosity refusing to give way.
"You'll see! Hurry over!" Linh hung up the phone, leaving Sophie staring at her math sheet in confusion (but this was usual anyway).
Sophie stood up and stretched. She might as well get up now, maybe Dex could tutor her during lunch the next day.
"Mom! Can I go over to the Vacker's? Linh has something she wants to show me!" Sophie yelled downstairs.
"Have you finished your homework?" her mom yelled back.
"Dex is going to help me tomorrow!" Sophie hollered. Conversations in the Ruewen household often consisted of yelling through the house, and although it was a little loud at times, everyone found it to be extremely efficient.
"Okay, you can go! Text me if you need a ride back!" her mom yelled. Sophie inwardly groaned. She had secretly hoped her mom would offer to drive her there.
"Guess I'll have to find my own ride." she muttered.

Sophie arrived around 20 minutes later on her old hot pink bike, complete with her old sparkly Barbie helmet.
"I need to update..." Sophie huffed, pedaling the last few feet into the driveway. She leaned her bike on the side of the house, making sure to conceal it behind a few bushes. Smoothing down her sweat soaked blonde hair, she knocked on the door. Sophie stood there waiting for a few minutes, then checked the door. The door opened smoothly.
"Hello?" Sophie called, looking around uneasily. This is how all horror movies start she thought.
"Hello Sophie. They're in the backyard." Mrs. Vacker said, appearing from a side door wearing an apron clouded with flour.
Sophie started at her sudden appearance, almost ready to scream. She covered the action by doing a little hop skip. Why do I even try? she thought. Mrs. Vacker raised an flour covered eyebrow, smiling at her.
"Thanks Mrs. Vacker!" Sophie laughed awkwardly hurrying to make her way through the labyrinth the Vackers called home.
Outside, everyone was huddled in the grass.
"Sophie, come here, it's so cute!" Biana screamed, motioning wildly. Sophie ran the last few steps to where everyone sat.
In the middle, Linh cuddled a cute black puppy.
"Aww!" Sophie crooned. It looked like it was a baby labrador retriever, it's fur silky in the afternoon light.
"Happy National Rescue Dog Day!" Linh whispered excitedly.
