Thanks for all the feedback you guys are giving me! I really appreciate it. Anyway, every Sophie story isn't complete without a detention scene, so enjoy!

Sophie had become accustomed to her new schedule. She actually enjoyed soccer, even though she was by far the clumsiest on the team. After soccer all she had time to do was homework, have dinner, and finally go to sleep. She was thinking about this during another boring class of history.

"Hey Sophie, remember not to fall asleep." Fitz, who sat next to her, whispered jokingly. Sophie blushed.

"I wasn't going to sleep, I'm much more studious than that!" she replied, a little to loudly.

"Ms. Foster, your lack of respect puzzles me." their teacher said, and it looked like he was relishing it. "I think you need to focus a little more on your studies... in detention."

Sophie's eyes widened, and she muttered a hasty 'sorry', and proceeded to rival the redness of tomatoes in July.

Fitz caught up with her after class.

"I'm sorry for getting you in trouble Soph," he apologized. "I can try to talk him out of it; I'm sure he was just crabby today."

"No, it's okay. Since I'll have to skip soccer practice, I'll be home sooner anyway." Sophie said, trying to be upbeat. She admired how concerned he was for her, and this fact pretty much made her day. Sophie smiled shyly at him, and he smiled back. Okay, now this is getting awkward she thought.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you!" Fitz said, breaking the awkwardness. "We have a football game tonight. Have you ever been to a Foxfire home game?"

"No, are they fun?" Sophie asked.

"There's nothing quite like them. You'll see when you play soccer at night. I hope you can come." Fitz looked at her hopefully. Sophie couldn't help but say yes.

"Detention is for those who disobey. Detention is to pay for your offense. Detention..." At this point, Sophie was actually going to fall asleep. She looked up as the door opened loudly. Keefe came strolling in, stopped, surveyed the room, and "FOSTER"S IN DETENTION?" he yelled loudly. Why is he always shocked to see me, then yell about it? she thought, trying to hide behind her hair.

"Late for detention I see." the teacher mumbled, then carried on the Detention speech. Keefe plopped down in the seat next to her.

"The Great Sophie Foster, following in my footsteps!" he announced. "I really am rubbing off on you, aren't I?"

"No, actually Fitz and I were talking in history, and I got caught." Sophie defended herself, though she hardly even cared.

"And where is the Great Fitzy?" Keefe probed, craning his head around the room in exaggeration.

"He only charged me with detention." Sophie muttered shortly. Why couldn't Keefe just mind his own business? She then took out her textbooks and started her homework.

"No need to get fiesty Foster." Keefe said, ignoring all social cues. Sophie gave him the death glare she'd learned from her Mom. She'd been working on it for ages in the mirror, and secretly was excited to use it. Keefe wilted like a flower. HAHAHAHA Sophie mentally laughed. After a few seconds of victory, she felt bad.

"I'm going to the football game tonight." Sophie told him, still focusing on her work.

"You are?" Keefe asked, perking up.

"As long as you don't bother me anymore." Sophie replied. I'm getting good at this! she thought.

"Don't worry Foster, you won't hear another peep out of me!" He stated, then added, "By the way, my number's 33. Just so you know..." Sophie hit him on the arm teasingly. Yep, it was good to have friends.
