Gabby was speechless; the white-haired girl staring in horror at the infamous serial killer as you panicked. Fuck. This must look even worse due to the deathlike grasp Michael was holding you in. The stalker hated anyone who dared interact with you, so of course he disliked that your friend was here. For a few seconds a deadly silence was all that lingered in the air - the atmosphere intensifying with every passing minute.

"Gabby-"

"Let her go! I don't care if you are a well-known killer or not, I won't let you hurt (Y/n)!" She exclaimed heatedly - snapping out of her shocked state as she brought out a pocket knife. Since when did she carry a knife around?! Michael glared daggers at her whilst he lunged towards your friend, letting go of you in the process.

"Michael stop! Don't attack Gabby!" You gasped and tried to pull him back.

He flashed you a warning look before he continued to swipe at her with his weapon; determined to destroy Gabby. She managed to land a hit on him - anger filling her features whilst she stood her ground. Michael knocked the knife out of her hand and sliced her cheek with his blade, satisfied that he now had the upper hand. She backed up a bit, weaponless. Oh no...he'd cornered her. Without hesitation you darted in front of Gabby and flung your arms out - wanting to protect your friend.

"Stop! Stop this now you two!" You yelled in desperation, worried for both.

"Get away from him (Y/n)! He's dangerous! I don't know what Loomis told you but Michael is clearly after you!" Gabby shrieked from behind, clasping your shoulder in concern.

"He's not dangerous! Please...let me explain." You turned to face her and released a sigh, deciding to tell her the truth.

"What are you talking about? He just tried to kill me!" She seemed to be extremely het-up; the girl pointed a sharp finger in Michael's direction.

"I know, I know! But he's just...very defensive. You have to let me explain, I promise I won't hold back any details." You put your hands together in a prayer-like position, pleading with Gabby to give you a chance.

"B-But...But...I'm so confused. I thought Dr. Loomis made the whole Michael thing up..." Gabby's feisty attitude subsided as confusion clouded her vision.

"I...I wasn't telling the truth. Michael did escape the sanitarium, but he didn't go to Maine. And...And Dr. Loomis wasn't delusional. I might've lied about his craziness." You admitted awkwardly.

"You...You lied...?" She had a dumbstruck expression spread across her face, her bewilderment making you feel guilty.

"Yeah..." You bit your lip and glanced down, shifting your feet uncomfortably.

"W-Why would you lie? I don't understand, how come you're covering for him? He's a convicted serial killer!" Gabby shakily responded.

"Gabby...we're childhood friends. It's a lot harder than you think to turn in your own friend." You said with flushed cheeks, jumping as Michael hugged you from behind.

"You were childhood friends. You didn't even remember him until Dr. Loomis visited! Have some sense (Y/n)!" She retorted angrily, feeling betrayed and hurt.

"I do have sense! What Michael did wasn't  right, but it wasn't his fault!" You defended your stalker passionately, placing your hands over his whilst you decided to take his side.

"He's killed a bunch of people! How is that not his fault?" Gabby incredulously snapped.

"Michael suffered from a psychotic break at ten years old - he doesn't know what he's doing is wrong. He can't handle betrayal or abandonment. And Laurie's death was her own fault - if she hadn't stabbed him in the shoulder first, Michael wouldn't have felt so hurt and enraged." You tried to explain his actions to Gabby hoarsely; feeling upset.
