(Prologue)
Liana Fair
I steadied my breathing. I pretended I'm still sleeping but my body betrayed me.
I felt a hand removing the gag that had bruised my mouth and the blindfold from my eyes. At that instance the first light shone on Euro's murderous face.
"Look at me" he commanded
But I can't stare at him, so he made me and forcefully gripped my chin to look at him.
"I said look at me every time I speak."
When my eyes focused at him all I could see was a demon in the shape of a human. Behind those blue eyes and perfect face lies a mad man.
"Why don't you just let me go Euro" I said with a barely audible voice
"Please let me leave, I won't tell anyone. Just please, I don't want this" I pleaded him as I began to cry.
He was sitting in front of me, just watching my every move. He was wearing a white shirt and a loose pants, his dark messed hair looked even messier but what caught my curiosity was his bleeding knuckles.
Did he hurt someone just to find me? I shivered at the thought and tried not to think of it.
Euro moved near me and in an instant pulled my hair harshly so my neck was forced to stretch and eye-leveled at him.
Our faces were almost touching, his nostrils were flaring and his ragged breathing signifies how angry he was.
"You're hurting me!" I managed to say
"Why did you run away?" He darkly asked, his sharp eyes were killing me with each word he say
"Because I don't want this!" I screamed at his face
"But you fucking agreed" he said as his hands hardly grope my hair that It felt like it was already detaching from my scalp.
I threw him a death glare and spat "You damn forced me into it! you pervert son of a bit..."
Without warning Euro's mouth claimed mine.

Liana Fair
"I'd say you better marry the man Liana if you want to be the richest woman in this petty place!" My mother insisted with a tone that is more of a command than a plead.
My father barged in "There! Read it and be awake for goodness sake!" He said while handing me a recent newspaper, published in the nearby town which had the headline written bold and clear: "Man of the year: Harkins Fair"
