Liana Fair

Faura and I stood there silently, looking at each others eyes as if this was a silent battle of whoever will look away first.

I'm glad she did.

Her shoulders slumped and she let out an exasperated breathe.

"Fine I quit, I thought I could intimidate you" she laughed while I was just staring at her. Guess she's nutcrack as Euro.

To ease the awkwardness I forced a chuckle.

"Hey Liana I'm just kidding! why're you so serious?" Faura's smile dazzles me.

"I'm sorry we just met...you know..uhh" Right, what a nice thing to say.

"You stutter too much" she turned her back from me and walk near the window. She opened it widely letting the fresh wind in.

Then she faced me and motioned for me to sit at the sofa beside her.

Faura's movement are very prim and proper while I am but a clumsy lass.

"I'm sorry I have to ask you that, I was trying to know your motive. Well you know my brother has been the chase of the City being an arrogant bachelor for too long" she paused and pouted as if waiting for me to butt in.

"He is indeed" is all I could say.

"I can feel that you are not after his money, I can smell no scent of Godi at all...you look so kind and comforting to be with." Faura smiled again and touched the locks of my hair.

I coughed a little "Uhmm Faura, what is a Godi?"

She laughed openly "Oh I'm sure you're not from here then! Godi is a jargon around here, one we use for gold digging women lurking, searching for their prey"

"I see, a Godi...hmmm. By the way you're right because I'm from Bourbon spades" I said, deciding to share things with her.

"You're kidding!" she mocked

"I'm not" I replied

"I mean you don't look like a native but aside from that I don't see any point why you would leave that paradise! I stayed there for about a week last year and I can say locals there are very kind, well some of them...but the place! just why?"

I felt dread with Faura's words. I missed them, oh god I miss my family, everyone of them...especially my brothers.

I was so engulfed in my thinking that I almost let my tears fall.

"Oh no were you just going to cry? Damn I'm sorry Liana" Faura apologized as she hugged me.

I managed to wipe my tears before she could see it.

"Hey stop you did nothing, I'm fine!" I grabbed her arms and link it with mine.

"We can talk about my home town next time, but for now tour me around this palace please" I said trying to ease the gloomy ambiance.

"Are you sure you're okay?" She asked again.

"Absolutely"

"Well if you insist, let me roam you around then."

"What took you so long?" Euro's impatient face and voice welcomed me as Faura and I got back at the dining hall, the noise of the Zalmacio clan is unwavering, the wine had gotten them noisier.

"I told her all your secrets!" Faura hissed and faked a deep laugh

"I'm not talking to you" Euro snapped
