Jades POV

I'd been sat on my bed for the last 10 minutes whilst Jesy and Leigh Anne rifled through my wardrobe to find an outfit they deemed 'sexy enough' for me to wear. I can't believe I'd let them convince me to go out, usually I didn't mind going out but lately the two of them had been on a mission to set me up with someone - apparently it was their duty as my best friends. They said they felt guilty that they both had boyfriends who they spent lots of time with and I was alone, it didn't bother me though - I was happy they were happy. It did get annoying them trying to set me up with people though because I didn't want to be set up with anyone; in fact the only person I could even think about I had no way of contacting.

"Hey Jade, are you listening to us or you in your own little bubble?" Jesy said as a balled up top flew towards my head. I wasn't quick enough to duck or catch it so it hit me square in the face and fell into my lap. I threw it back in Jesy's general direction but it fell short and landed in the middle of my carpet.

"Sorry, what were you on about?" I hadn't registered a word they'd said since 'you're going to have fun tonight Jade, get your mind off all the uni work you've been doing lately.'

"Were you thinking about that girl again? What's her name, something weird beginning with p I think." Leigh Anne asked and her head appeared around the door frame.

"It's Perrie and it's not weird, it's pretty like her." I mumbled.

"You know, I don't get why you didn't get her number if you like her that much." Jesy commented.

"Cos I'm an idiot! I was too busy making a complete and utter fool of myself! I mean I told her she should smile more cos her smile was pretty, I'd only spoken to her for like 2 minutes as well so how was I supposed to know if she smiled lots or not - maybe she wasn't smiling cos she'd just crashed into me." I sighed dramatically and flopped backwards onto the bed, my arms spread out beside me.

"Well, did she have a pretty smile?" Leigh asked. Jesy seemed to have disappeared into the depths of my wardrobe.

"Yeah, the prettiest I'd ever seen." I replied dreamily, I really did like her smile. It made her whole face appear to light up.

"Who knows maybe she appreciated the compliment, be positive Jade. Now come over here so I can start doing your hair." I grudgingly climbed off the bed and dropped into the chair in front of Leigh Anne who immediately began attacking my hair with a brush.

"No, she probably thought it was weird. I bet she thinks I'm some kind of freak! I mean who else just randomly blurts out stuff like that after literally 2 minutes of knowing someone? That's got to cross at least some lines. I've definitely ruined any chance at all I had with her which was probably none anyway cos chances are: she's straight. She just made me nervous and I rambled on and wouldn't shut up, I've not felt like that round anyone."

"You never know she might not be - you did say she didn't have a boyfriend."

"Doesn't mean she's not straight." By now Leigh was curling my hair. I had no idea what exactly she intended it to look like at the end but over time I'd learnt it was best not to question her and just let her get on with it, it was the same with makeup which she'd most likely be doing after my hair.

"Oh for fucks sake Jade will you stop being so dramatic! Think of it as one of these things where you'll see her again if it's meant to be, fate or some shit like that. What's so special about her anyway?" Jesy asked as she emerged holding 2 dresses. She held the first one up towards me and then swapped to the second one, then she swapped again deliberating which one would be best.

"I don't know how though, I don't even know her last name. All I know about her is that she's called Perrie, she's just moved here and she's absolutely gorgeous. She has this long blonde hair that looks so soft - I just wanted to run my fingers through it and fuck me her eyes! I love her eyes; they were like this amazing shade of crystal blue but better, it's hard to describe and they just seemed to sparkle."
