"I can't believe you're actually my girlfriend now." Jade mumbled quietly into the top of my head. We had shifted so we were lying on the sofa, my head resting on Jade's chest and my body curled into her side. Jade's hand was drawing small circles subconsciously on the small of my back and it was so calming I was fighting sleep.

"You better believe it." I replied cheekily.

"I've been waiting since like practically the first time I saw you to call you my girlfriend." That comment made me smile and I lifted up so my chin was resting on her chest and I was looking at her face. I slung my leg over Jade's and shifted my weight slightly so more of it was resting on her. It helped keep me balanced so I didn't fall off the sofa but it also moved me closer to Jade so it was a win-win situation. Jade didn't seem to be complaining either as her arms encircled my waist and kept me from moving away.

"Oh really? I'm sorry to have kept you waiting for so long." My tone was playful as I teased Jade and she let out a laugh in response. I loved how we could go from such a serious, difficult conversation to playful and teasing like we are now.

"You should be, it was mean." Jade was fighting back another laugh but she couldn't contain the grin on her face.

"I'm sorry, can you please forgive meee?" I drew out the end of my sentence and pouted at Jade. My eyes were as round and pleading as I could make them.

"Hmmm, I'll have to think about it." Jade pulled a face, pretending to be deep in thought and I giggled slightly at her antics.

"Maybe you just need some encouragement." I teased.

"Go on, I'm listening." Jade raised a single perfectly sculpted eyebrow and waited expectantly.

"Well..." I paused to place a teasing kiss on the corner of her mouth, the word hanging in the air between us. From my place on Jade's chest I felt her draw in a deep breath and I smiled at the effect I had on her. "I'm cute and you really like me so you should forgive me." Jade let out a groan and let her head fall back to rest against the sofa. I grinned triumphantly and traced a finger softly along her jawline, tracing the contours I found there.

Suddenly Jade lifted her head and a playful smirk was plastered across her face. "Who says you're cute?"

"Don't pretend you've never thought it."

"Maybe I have, maybe I haven't but you, Perrie Edwards, shall never know because a girl never reveals her secrets." Jade then reached up to place a soft kiss on my lips. It only lasted a second but it brought a smile to my face.

"What was that for?" I asked softly.

"Dunno, I just wanted to. Besides does a girl need a reason to give her pretty girlfriend a kiss?" Jade's voice was soft like mine and her eyes locked with mine. The affection I could see swimming in them sent a warmth tingling through my body.

"Mhmm guess not." I replied as I also pressed a lazy kiss to Jade's lips. When I pulled away I let my head fall onto Jade's chest and I cuddled closer to her. Jade's arms tightened around me and held me tightly to her. I let out a content sigh. "I like this."

"I do too." Jade murmured quietly, sneaking her hand under my t-shirt to trace small circles onto the bare skin of the small of my back. When I first felt Jade's hand on my skin I stiffened and I knew Jade noticed because she immediately retracted her hand.

"Perrie, I'm sorry. I didn't think, you okay?" Jade's voice was worried. However, I was surprised at how fleeting the moment of panic was. Jade wasn't ever going to hurt me, I knew that and her fingers on my bare skin had been more soothing and calming then scary; I think it was just going to take a bit longer to be comfortable with all this, especially the intimacy that came with it.
