Sky's POV

I slept basically the whole way, blaming it on the strong medicine I accidentally overdosed on.

The nudge at my shoulder caused me to swing at whoever was doing it. Unfortunately, it happened to be Noah, but I only hit his hand thankfully.

"Sorry" I slurred, wiping away the remaining sleep lurking in my eyes. James laughed, "Note to self: don't get between Sky and her sleep"

I couldn't help but join him before stopping and crossing my arms trying to remain serious "Never!" I emphasized.

"We're landing in 15 minutes" James sweetly informed me. I removed the sun blocking device from the window and looked out over the glistening ocean water below us.

It reminded me of a time. A time where Harry and I were free to do whatever we choose and be whoever we want. A time where my heart was held in the enormous hands of the boy I loved. A time where in the end, everything came towering down only to destroy me inside and out.

A time I have to try to forget.

"Sky?" James interrupted my unnecessary thoughts. "Yeah?"

"Do you have all your carry-on items?"

I nodded, double checking under my seat to ensure my head bob. James, unexpectedly, grabbed my hand, enclosing it in his. "I'm glad you came" he encouraged for probably the millionth time. I smiled at his repetitive, yet sweet statement. "That was unexpected" I teased about the hand holding.

"Sometimes the greatest things in life come to us at times we never expected"

Woah there Shakespeare. I was kidding. I didn't know hand holding was so meaningful and deep. Mentally I laughed to myself at my witty jokes while containing a serious expression on the outside.

"Ladies and Gentlemen please fasten your seat-belts as we prepare to land" the Pilot instructed. I always wondered how they managed to fly a plane while talking into a speaker. I had every intention of asking but James wouldn't let me. He can't risk being late to our 5-star hotel, another courtesy of his work.

"I got it" James insisted as I struggled to pull my carry on out of the stubborn cabinet. "Thanks" I said as he set my tiny bag ,that managed to get lodged in the back, on the ground.

We filed out of the plane along with hundreds of other people only to be released into thousands of other people in the airport. Bright North Carolina sun busted through the enlarged windows causing me to squint. "I'm going to use the restrooms" James informed me, leaving me with his luggage bags.

From the dirty looks people flashed me, I figured I better move out of the way. Carrying 4 bags isn't as easy as it sounds.

"Here. I got it" a familiar voice sent chills up my spine. I spun around "Harry?"

"No... I'm Kyle?" the man looked confused and slightly concerned, he probably thinks I'm some lunatic that broke out of a mental hospital.

He set my bags down and basically sprinted away. Oh well.

Why did I sound so excited?

Why did my heart flip a million times when I head his voice?

Why were all the butterflies in my stomach released?

"SKY!" a giddy, older woman who showed many attempts at reducing her age, squealed before enclosing her arms around me. "Mom let her breath" James teased.

Oh.

"I'm sorry dear, I'm James' mother, Mrs. Viviano. But call me Marina or Mary. I go by Marina mostly but it's whatever you prefer" she shoved all into one breath.

"Excuse her" a neatly groomed man stepped forward, removing his wife from my personal bubble, "I'm Mr. Viviano. Call me Vincent"

"I'm Sky Jones" I blandly stated. "We know dear, Jamison's told us so many wonderful things about you!"

I smiled at their flattering compliment and moved by James or should I call him Jamison now?

"Sorry I didn't know they were coming" James apologized as we settled in our rental car. "It's ok. They're very nice. I just wish I would've looked nicer" I blushed.

"You look beautiful" James reassured me.

"Why thank you Jamison" I teased.

"Shut up. She's always called me that. I hate it" he laughed.

My eyes widened as we approached the huge, luxurious hotel. Wow. I was absolutely blown away when two men dressed in white suits parked our cars for us. One tried to carry my personal bag, "No. I'll take that one." I harshly told him. He smiled and nodded, handing me my bag.

"You're very pretty" he quietly praised. "I have a boyfriend but thanks I guess" I tried to compliment. Compliments didn't come frequently so I didn't really know how to respond to them if they did. Oops. My bad.

"Well I wanted a nicer view but I guess it'll do" James complained at the distant beach view.

It called my name, begging me to return to its friendliness I missed so much.

While James was off working for awhile or something I grabbed my phone and walked over to the beach. The waves splashed the same rhythm they did back at my old home. And the seagulls squawked the same annoying way I've grown to somewhat love.

Salty air filled my lungs with the warming familiar sent as I removed my sandals and dug my feet into the glistening sand.

Harry's POV

With my favorite book in hand I made my way towards the beach I loved so much.

It reminded me of her and how that was where she always wanted to go.

How she would try to convince me into the water while she danced in it like a little girl.

Glancing up and down the sandy shore only a lone girl stood, admiring the way the waves smoothly retracted themselves. Just like Sky did.
