Harrys POV
"You know we probably should do something productive with ourselves" I told Sky, who was acting as though she was asleep.
It was like when a kid gets caught reading when they're supposed to be asleep, they fail to convince they're parents they were sleeping the entire time.
"Sky you are such a three year old!" I laughed and blew onto her closed eyelids. She smiled but tried to keep me thinking she was "still asleep".
"Sky! You're smiling! Get your ass up!" I laughed.
Nothing.
"Ok. Fine. Then we better get you to bed"
In a matter of (extremely quick) seconds I flipped her up and over my shoulder. "HARRY! IM AWAKE IM AWAKE" she squealed into my ear. I threw her onto the neatly made bed and wrinkled her job well done.
She looked up at me, eyebrows furrowed and arms crossed. "That was not very nice" she pouted.
"Oh hush. Move over" I said and flopped down next to her in bed. "Would you like to be productive today or no?" I asked.
"I was extremely productive last night. Do you not see my organizational skills sparkling in this room" she smiled, taking pride in something I found so... Unnecessary?
It was so cute how she lit up and saw something amazing in her work. I, on the other hand, saw no difference in the room. But that's just me and my bland personality speaking.
"Yes I see. It's beautiful" I complimented, boosting her self esteem. She smiled and kissed my forehead "Thank you"
"I need to make something of myself Sky. So what shall we do?"
"Absolutely nothing. Oh and let's do it all day" she said while tracing the patterns around my tattoos. "So that means I get to lay here and stare at my flawless girlfriend all day?"
"Not even close Harry" she laughed.
Sky's POV
Harry watched me as my fingers roamed his arms, carefully tracing each tattoo. "You like doing that don't you?"
"It's soothing"
I rolled out of the bed and shuffled to the kitchen. I grabbed a cup from the cabinet and filled it with chipped ice cubes. My head felt like someone hit me with a baseball bat, and my stomach hurt too much to drink any water.
"Babe... What's wrong?" Harry asked, folding me in his arms from behind. "Nothing. Just thirsty"
"Are you sure? Why'd you leave?"
"I was just thirsty Harry. Calm down"
"I'm sorry. I just was worried"
"Well stop worrying then" I snapped and unfolded myself from him before walking towards the bedroom. I locked the door before Harry could follow me in.
My side hurt horribly and my face was drained of any color it had a few hours ago.
My clothes weren't helping the cause so I stripped of my old jeans and shirt.
I pulled open Harrys drawer and retrieved a pair of his sweat pants and white t shirt. My neon bra visibly shone through the see through shirt but I was not in the mood to change again.
"Sky?" Harry whispered through the door. I unlocked it and allowed him in finally. Without saying a word I snuggled under the duvet and closed my eyes.
"Baby?" He asked, stroking my cheek and looking down at me. Usually when he called me those pet names, my stomach fluttered. But right now I wasn't exactly feelin it. "You're burning up" he said, his large hand pressed to my forehead.
That's when my emotions hit me really hard. I bawled into the pillow "Harry I don't feel good" I cried.
He picked me up and I cried into his shirt. "Shh. I know baby. I know" he soothed, stroking my hair. He gently laid me back down and covered me up.
Then he left...
He returned, much to my liking, with a cold rag. "Here. Now lay this on your forehead. It'll bring down the fever"
I did as he said.
He folded back the duvet and cuddled in next to me. "Come here" he said and I moved closer to him.
Our foreheads touching.
His arms securely wrapped around me.
Holding my ear close to his beating heart. The sound soothed me so much my eyes felt heavy.
Harrys POV
Sky's eyes fluttered shut and her breathing steadied again. Once I was sure she was sound asleep and comfortable, I got out of the bed. I flipped the fan off to keep her cold body from progressing any further. Her weak body held onto my pillow.
I was going to the store to get her some stuff.
My cart was filled with soup, tylenol, ice cream, soda, "lady things" (in case this is because of Mother Nature) and everything else needed for my sick Sky.
"Hey mister!" A voice yelled at me.
"What?" I snapped back as I loaded my car with the sacks.
"Watch where you're going! Your cart almost hit my damn car!"
"My bad" I said and waved my hands in the air. The angry woman took off walking away and once I was sure she wouldn't see me, my middle finger flew up at her.
Not in the mood today.
Not at all.
Sky's POV
My body ached. From the fever, which was still lingering, but also the loss of Harry's contact. "Harry?" I said just as the front door opened.
"Harry?" I yelled a little louder, my voice cracking due to weakness.
He heard my pathetic call for him and immediately came to my side. "You okay love?"
"Yeah. I just missed you"
"I'm here" he said and got back in the bed. He stroked my cheek and hummed a soft melody to me.
I smiled a weak smile at him and felt my eyes getting heavy again.
"Hey Sky..."
"Mmhm?" I mumbled.
"I love you"
"I love you too Harry" I smiled, but my eyes remained closed.
"And you know, that white t-shirt and neon pink bra really look hot on you"
"Yeah I know. I make it work" I laughed weakly.
"You do Sky. You do. Just don't ever wear it outside this apartment. Lord knows how many guys you'd have on your tail. Including me"
"Yeah but only one matters" I said, tapping my finger to his nose before he kissed my forehead.
