Chapter 11 - Hypocrite

So, after I had that talk with David I decided to go talk to my brother. So, I told David to leave. It was going to start getting late soon anyway. I had to talk to my brother anyway. I had some things that I don't understand.

When I got to his room I didn't even bother to knock, I just walked right in. I don't have the patience for that at the moment. I just want to get this done so I can understand and then tell David. There is probably something wrong with me.

When I get in, Byron jumps up and he's about to yell at me but I can tell my distraught face told him everything he needed to know. I'm frustrated and I don't know what's going on.

"What's going on Bri Bri? What do you need me to tell you?" He asked me. I glare at him for knowing me so well and take a seat on the bed next to him where he casually sat back down.

"There's something seriously wrong with me. When David touches me I feel like all these tingles and shocks. When he touches me passionately it's like my body is on fire. When we stare into each others eyes it's like someone is grabbing me and pulling me to him , like our souls or something, I don't know. It's crazy, I know. When he kisses me near my neck, I get this strange urge to let him.... bite me" I said then whispered the last part. I knew I was crazy. I just wanted to hear what my big bro had to say. I hear someone gasp and look up to see Byron in complete shock. I immediately get scared. "What? What is it Byron?" I asked urgently and scared.

" David is your Given." He said very quietly. What? What is he saying?

"What do you mean he's my given? What is that Ronnie. Spit it out Ronnie I'm scared." I ended with a whimper. I don't know what's in store for me but it can't be good.

"BRI BRI.... I'm going to tell you something but promise me you won't hate me." He said sounding scared.

"We are half-vampire." Ronnie says real quiet. I immediately get angry. This is not time to make jokes while we are having a serious discussion. I roll my eyes at him. He can't be serious for more than a minute.

Stop joking Byron! This is no time f-." I was saying but got cut off by a loud Byron.

"I'm not joking here Brianna! Think about it. You hear extremely better than most. Soon, you will be able to read minds. That wanting David to bite you shit. It all comes together. Mom and Dad told me to tell you when you were ready and I think you are ready. We are half vampire and half witch. Mom is all white witch and Dad is all vampire. I'm sorry I didn't tell you." He said. Wow. My brother is a hypocrite.

" You would hate me for not telling you shit and you expect me to just sit back and nod at this Byron? This is a lot of stuff to expect. I can't believe you didn't tell me. What happened to our promise?" I said disappointed. My brother never kept anything from me. Except now. I wonder what else he is hiding....

"It's true Brianna and when your ready to talk about it. Do. Because we have many important things to discuss. And you know I had to Brianna, it was for our parents." He said. Like that was an excuse! They don't care about us.

"They don't care Byron. They hate us! Why do you care about what they tell you to do?" I asked.

"You don't understand.When you are ready to speak with me, come back to do so in a mature manner. But for now, get out little sis." Byron said. I muttered a quick 'with pleasure and stomped out his room but not without exiting with a huff.

I can't believe him. Our parents don't care so I don't know why he is excepting orders from them. I understand how it is. They tell me all the time.

I am going to test his theory. If I soon start to read minds than he was right and I'm going to go back to him and talk. I mean I heard a voice in my head talk but that is just my self-conscious so let's see. Better not be lying big bro... again.
