Chapter 36 - Oh No

~David's POV~

I can't believe she said that shit. Watching her going inside that shithole is making me pissed. I can't do anything about it.

She doesn't understand the fact that since I'm more vampire than her, my intuition is better than hers. That's how I always knew she was in trouble growing up even though I was embracing my human and warlock side. I still had some vamp characteristics. I could hear great and my intuition. That's it.

Trying to debate something with her is like speaking to a brick wall. Her ass does not listen. She is the most stubborn person I have met.

When she makes it inside, I drive off. Maybe nothing will happen to her. She is around a lot of people right? You can't hurt someone around a bunch of people, right? Yeah. I will just check on her occasionally.

I make my way to Byron's apartment. Amber and him have been having problems. She had a miscarriage. Byron's taking it worse. Amber is blaming herself. Byron is blaming himself. I have been helping them out the most I could. I know Brianna wants to help, but she can't because I want her to stay home as much as possible so I did the helping that she would have done for her.

I feel like going out right now and I need my best friend with me. Plus, he needs a break. I don't care how early it is or where we go.

I knock on the door. A tired, grumpy, and depressed version of my friend. I don't know what I would do if theses things happened to me so I don't judge him.

I walk past him and make way into his very stylish and expensive looking apartment. I turn and look at him to see him following behind me silently. He is pretty smart. He knows I want something even when he is weighed down with depression.

"What's up bro?" I ask and sit on his comfy couch and kick my feet up on his little coffee table.

"You know nothing is up, David." He said already irritated.

I almost face palm. Am I making this worst for him? Eh, probably not. I turn and grin at him. My 'I'm going to save the day' grin. When he sees my grin, he automatically groans. Oh yes, he knows just what is about to happen.

"Get ready, brother. We are going out. I will take you out for breakfast." I say smoothly. He grumbles and walks away. "Oh and take a shower, will ya?" I talk in the same tone because I know he can still her me. I laugh when I hear the shower water turn on a few seconds later.

Depressed Byron listens easily. I thought in my mind. Usually he is as stubborn as his sister. I scoff at the thought of her stubborn ass.

That reminds me...

I take my phone out and check if she texted me every hour. I am pretty proud because she texted me every hour right on the dot.

That's my girl. I think proud and my anger automatically plummets that was directed towards her. She actually listened for once.

It's almost 9 am. So, I watch my phone until 9:00. As soon as 9 struck, I received a text.

From: My Baby Girl

Received: 9:00am December 8th

The message brings a smile to my face. So, I text her back.
