Chapter four
Kristen's POV: I've been a wreck. It's been a few days since Charles quit vlogging. We have all been a wreck really. Alli just plays pinball, Charles has a habit of talking to himself, and I just go on my phone and talk to the dogs, the twins didn't know it happened, they don't care. Shay called my dad yesterday trying to talk him into continuing his vlogs. He kept the channel up but he logged out of it. He reads the hate comments every night. To get my mind off of things Brandon asked me out on a date, it's like out first real date. It's the first time we will be by ourselves. My mom doesn't really like Brandon, she thinks he will just do something bad to me. She doesn't even say his name, she just says him or that boy. She doesn't want me going anywhere with him so we go on double dates with my friends. She probably won't let me go today so Brandon is picking me up at 11:30. We are going to the cliff by the beach and looking at the stars. I love him. "Kristen! I want coffee!" Charles whines from outside my door. He bangs his hand on it multiple times before opening the door and groaning, "coffee! I need my coffee!" "Ok, ok I'm going." He smiles and hands me the keys, "thanks!" He hands me money and I leave my room. I get in the golf cart followed by Zoey and Marley, Chico despises the golf cart. I get in and frown, "man girls, not vlogging the golf cart adventure is weird." Marley barks and we set off to Starbucks. I pull up and order iced coffee. When I get to the window I see the girl from the other day, the one who yelled at the other girl about not knowing what IKT was, she looks depressed when she sees me, "so... No more vlogs?" I sigh, "no, sadly." She hands me cookies and I give them to the girls, "how is everyone?" "Good, depressed." She smiles and hands me my coffees, "we need to hang sometime." I nod, "so you can hear about my parents?" "That and you seem cool." I smile and she gives me her number, "bye." "Bye!" I wave and drive off, her name is Miranda and she's 15 a year younger than me. I arrive home and walk inside, "here you go." I smile and hand Charles his coffee, then I hand Alli hers. She smiles at me and I sit at the table across from her, "I have a question..." "Ok what is it?" I sigh and look at her, I don't know how this is going to go... "I'm wondering if I can go to the movies," yes I lied she would totally say no to the cliff, "with Brandon..." "Kristen, you know how I feel about him!" "I know but this will be our first real date!" "Kristen, we are not going through this! You will not go to the movies with that boy!" I look over at Charles for support, "Alli, he isn't bad, Kristen really likes him." Charles stands up and walks over to Alli, "Char, why are you on her side?" "Because he isn't bad! He is a nice boy who likes our daughter!" Alli turns back to me and sighs, "you are NOT going to the movies with him, final." She stands up and leaves the room, "dad, why didn't you help me!" "Kristen I tried! What else do you want me to do?! I am not fighting with my wife because last time that happened I lost the CTFxC and I almost lost her!" Charles also leaves the room. I sigh and stand up, grabbing my coffee. I walk to my room and text Brandon,
"Parents said no to the 'movies' are we still on for the cliff?"
"Yea see you later.<3"
"Ok don't drive up to my house to pick me up, drive to the park and I will meet you there."
"Ok babe, see you soon, love you<3"
"Love you too, later<3"
I delete the messages and lock my phone. I've been more careful with the whole sneaking out thing. Since the last time with Ashton... Ashton has changed so much, he is the biggest jerk you will ever meet. Alli likes him more then Brandon, she thinks he is nicer then Brandon.
It's around lunchtime and I walk out of my room. I throw away my coffee in the kitchen and sit on the couch. Charles is walking around the house talking to himself, Alli is nowhere to be found. I think she went to go and get food. Charles walks into the living room and starts pacing, he whispers things to himself then sits down, "how's it going?" He sighs, "I was talking to myself?" I nod, he doesn't realize he is talking to himself. "Dad you know you can go back to vlogging, right?" "Kristen I can't, I will get even more hate then I am right now." I sigh and look over at him, "you've been a mess, you need to get out." He shakes his head, "no I'm fine." He stands up and leaves the room. I shrug and go on my phone. I guess I'll see if Miranda wants to come over,
"Hey, it's Kristen. Wanna come over? You can meet me at the park at (insert address) and we can walk to my house."
"OMG totally! I'll be their soon."
"Just please don't talk to them about the vlog, they are still shocked and so am I."
"Oh I won't, I know how they feel."
"Awesome, I'm leaving now."
"Ok same."
I closed out of text message and put my phone in my pocket, "Chico? Wanna go to the park?" I grab his leash and put it on him. I peak into my dad's office, "dad? I'm going to the park, my friend Miranda is coming back with me." He turns around and smiles, "ok be back soon." I nod and leave the house. I walk to the park and wait for Miranda. I think she lives in the neighborhood next to ours because she's walking, unless she is very fit. I wave and walk over to her. She smiles and waves back, "hey!" "Hey." "And hello Chico! It's nice to finally meet you!" She bends down and pets Chico. He licks her and she laughs, "wanna go back to my house?" "Sure." We start walking back to my house and when we arrive home I see Alli's car in the driveway. I walk in through the garage and let Miranda in first. I take off Chicos leash and he runs off. Alli comes out with her hands on her hips, "where have you been?" "At the park meeting Miranda, why?" She waves at Miranda and walks over to me, "can I speak to you for a second?" She sounds nervous, "sure," I turn to Miranda, "I'll be back." I walk off with Alli and she sighs, "ok, something happened while you were gone..." "What is it?" She puts her head in her hands and takes a deep breath, "Chaz, he had a seizure..." "Wait what?! Chaz, five year old Chaz had a seizure?!" She nods, "the doctors told us when I went for an ultrasound when I was pregnant that the twins would be in risk of having cancer... Chaz has that chance." I hug Alli and she kisses my forehead, "don't let this bring you down, he will be ok." I nod, "where is Chaz?" "He is with Charles in his room, we only knew it was happening because Anna was screaming in her room." I smile, "at least she was in there." Alli nods, "go have fun ok?" I nod an leave the room, I go over to Miranda and smile, "wanna go in my room?" "Sure." We walk to my room and I tell her I will be back, "dad," I say peaking in Chaz and Anna's room, "how is he?" "He's fine, just scared him." I nod and sit next to Charles, "are you going to take him to the doctors?" Charles nods an kisses Chaz's head, "poor dude." I smile and hug Chaz. Anna comes over and sniffles, "my brother ok?" She asks me, "he's fine." She smiles and sits on my lap, "Kristen can you take Anna to your room?" "Yea." I kiss Chaz's head and pick up Anna, "wanna meet my friend?" "Yea!" She laughs and I walk into my room, "Anna this is Miranda." I put Anna down and she walks over to her, "hi Miranda!" Miranda laughs and waves, "why im did she come in here, is everything ok?" I shake my head, "Chaz had a seizure." Miranda gasps, "oh no! That's not good!" I nod, "I know, poor buddy..." She smiles, "he'll be ok." "Hopefully, we are going through a lot right now and to top it off with this is horrible..." She nods, "I know how you feel, my parents divorced and it all went downhill from there..." I hug her, "you're a nice friend." She hugs me back. We sit on my couch for a while playing with Anna. Charles comes in and says it's time for Miranda to go, "nice seeing you!" She says and leaves the house. I wave and close the door. I walk to my room and text Brandon,
"Four hours can't wait to see you<3"
"Same, can't wait babe.<3"
I smile and delete the messages. I love Brandon, he is so sweet. I hope he is the man I marry. I love him a lot. On that note I went to bed so I would be ready for tonight. I set my alarm and fell asleep.
