Chapter forty-six

(Kristen's POV)

Avery got here three weeks ago.

Brianna died three weeks ago.

I'm at my moms house with her new boyfriend.

He is very sweet, I love him. His name is Jason. My mom met him online then met each other for the first time two weeks ago at Starbucks.

I have an appointment today which I don't want to go to.

It's going to feel weird, I mean a 17 year old in a hospital for an ultra sound?

"Kristen wake up."

"I don't want to wake up." She laughs and kisses my head.

"Jason is making waffles." I smile and sit up.

"Is he really or are you joking?"

"He is really making waffles." I smile and get out of bed.

"Your appointment is in six hours ok?" I nod and walk downstairs.

Ever since Brianna passed away I haven't touched Jackson.

Every time he gets near me I freak out. I'm scared for when I have my baby.

I sit at the table and lay my head on the table.

"Kristen, you're going to get food in your hair." Jason laughs and sets a plate in front of me.

"Is Gavin coming?" I shrug and take my phone off the table.

'Hey are you coming to the ultra sound today?'

'Yea, when is it?'

'Six hours from now, meet us at the appointment.'

'Ok see you soon.'

I lock my phone and eat my food,

"He's coming." She nods and we continue to eat. After we eat Alli changes Jackson and cleans his tray.

"Avery's coming to pick me up and we are going to get ice cream with Gavin."

"Ok, go get ready and be home before two." I nod and go upstairs.

I put on a pair of shorts and a random tank top. I do light makeup and curl my hair. I put on a pair of vans and grab my camera, if I film.

I go downstairs and text Avery to come and get me.

The doorbell rings and I let her in. She hasn't seen Alli since playlist live.

She comes in and hugs Alli,

"How do you like California?"

"Oh I love it here, perfect weather everyday." They let go and I say bye to Alli and Jason.

We go to her car and she smiles at me.

"Are you driving yet?" I shake my head.

"My dad doesn't want me to drive. Ever since the accident he is scared he might lose me this time."

She smiles,

"At least your parents card, my parents could care less if I wreck. I mean they were so happy when I moved out. I got moved out within a week."

"They still love you Avery." She shrugs and we arrive at the apartment. We go up to the Butlers little apartment and get Gavin.

I grab the key in their plant and unlock the door.

Shays vlogging right by the door when I get in.

"I'm here to get Gavin."

Shay smiles and turns off his camera.

"GAVIN!!!" He screams and Gavin comes running out.

"Dad, don't do that." Gavin hugs me and Avery laughs.

"Where are you chumps going?" Shay asks giving me a hug.

"We are going to get ice cream and maybe do something else." Shay nods and we leave.

We all get into Avery's car and she drives to the ice cream shop.

When we arrive I get our and grab Gavin's hand.

We order our ice creams and get a table.

"I'm going to the bathroom." Avery says and stands up.

"I have something to tell you." Gavin says grabbing my hand.

"Ok, what is it?"

"Well when your baby is supposed to be due, I'm going to be gone that week on the Contiki road trip to Bora Bora..."

"What?! So when I'm due to have the baby you won't be here?!"

"Kristen look I-"

"Save it! Why can't you just stay here?! Please?"

"Kristen I promised my dad I would go with him. I'm sorry." I stand up and grab Avery's keys.

I get in the car and lock it once I get in.

I can't drive anywhere so I just sit in the car, I'm pissed.

There's a knock on the window and I look over to see Avery.

I roll down the window and she sees my tear stained cheeks.

"Kristen what happened?"

"Gavin won't be here the week I'm due."

"Don't be mad, he will find a way to get to you."

"What if he doesn't?! What if he deserts me?!"

"Kristen he won't! He isn't that kind of guy!"

"Then what kind of guy is he?!"

"He's the guy who cares for you and will be there for you. He isn't like Ashton or Brandon."

"Yea, but they didn't get me pregnant! He did!"
