Chapter thirty-eight

(Kristen's POV)

I wake up the next morning to Anna and Chaz jumping on me.

"How did you get up here?" I ask sitting up.

"Daddy!" Anna says pointing under my bed.

I hear dad laugh and smile at me.

"Anna you weren't supposed to tell her." Anna giggles and Charles tickles her.

I smile at them and get off my bed. I go downstairs and I'm greeted with the smell of pancakes and bacon.

I get in the kitchen and Allie smiles at me.

"Morning." She says, flipping a pancake.

"Morning." I say grabbing glasses from the cabinets.

I put the glasses down and get out the juice and milk.

"What do you want to drink?"

"I'll take juice. Your father and probably you want juice also." I nod and pour three juices.

I take out plastic cups for the twins and pour milk. I put all the cups on the table and Allie puts the plates down.

"Breakfast is ready!" Allie yells and my dad comes running down in front of the twins.

He sits at the table and smiles at Allie.

We all start eating and I get a call from Gavin.

I grab my phone and leave the table. I go on the patio and answer it.

"Hello?"

"Kristen? Can you come over today?"

"Yea why?"

"I need to tell you something, just come over as soon as possible."

"Ok, umm... See you soon."

"Bye."

The call disconnects and I go back inside.

I eat fast and put my glass and plate in the sink.

"What's wrong?" Allie asks standing up to put plates in the sink.

"Gavin wants me to come over."

"Why?" Charles asks picking up Brianna.

"I don't know. He didn't tell me." Charles gives Allie Brianna and grabs the golf cart keys.

"Get changed, I'll drive you." I nod and run upstairs to change.

I grab my camera and run down the stairs.

"Ready." Charles nods and we go to the golf cart.

He drops me off in their driveway and drives back home.

I'm greeted by a hug from Gavin.

"Hey." I say kind of shocked.

She smiles at me and grabs my hand.

"Kristen, can you sit down?" Shay asks pointing to the couch.

I nod and sit next to Gavin.

"Ok. So Gavin called you to come over so we could tell you this." Shay says. Colette comes in the room and grabs his hand. He gives her a kiss and continues,

"Next week we are moving back to Idaho." I look over at Gavin them back at his parents.

"Are you serious? Why?!" I burst into tears and fall into Gavin. He hugs me and tries to comfort me.
