Chapter thirty-four

Charles' POV

I wake up and text Alli. Today we are taking Kristen home. It's been a month since she was first admitted to the hospital. I get dressed and wake up Allie. I kiss her cheek and she smiles, "good morning." I say laying on top of her, "morning Charles." She says and rolls over. "I'm leaving for the hospital." "Who's house is she going to?" "Ours." She nods and I kiss her again. She hugs me and sits up, "is Brianna up?" I shake my head, "she is still asleep." "Ok, good." She stands up and rubs her eyes. I hug her and walk downstairs. I hear a knock on the door and I put my shoes on. "Bye." I say hugging and kissing Allie. I grab my phone and open the door, "hey." Alli smiles, "hey." We walk to her car and get in, "excited to have Kristen come out?" I nod, "very." We drive to the hospital then go inside. We go to Kristen's room and smile at her. "Hi." She says smiling. We sit down in our usual spots and talk with Kristen. Around noon the doctor comes in, "Kristen is all ready to leave." He takes all of the wires off of her. We nod and Alli helps her stand up, "do you want to change here?" Kristen nods and grabs some clothes. She goes to the bathroom and changes. When she gets back I put Kristen's gown on the bed and give her her bag. She smiles at me and grabs the bag. I wrap my arm around her and we leave. Alli holds Kristen's hand, "are you glad to be leaving?" She nods and we get in the car. She buckles herself in and we drive to my house. When she pulls into the driveway she looks at me, "will you be fine with her?" I nod, "I have Allie." She nods and gets out of the car with me, "bye Kristen." Alli says hugging her. "Bye." Alli kisses her forehead and Kristen walks to the door. Alli comes to me and hugs me, "see you soon." I nod. "Are you picking her up Tuesday?" She nods, "Tuesday through Sunday. Every other week ok?" I nod, "bye." She gets in her car and leaves. I wave bye and go inside. Kristen hugs Allie when she gets inside. Allie smiles at me and hugs me, "I love you." "Love you to." I say kissing her. Kristen sits on the floor and pets the dogs. I smile at her and walk to my office. I take out her camera and put the SIM card in. I walk back out and hand the camera to her. She looks at me but doesn't take it, "what is this for?" "To vlog, remember? You have a channel...?" She looks at me confused then gasps, "I get to have my camera back?!" I nod and laugh. She jumps up and hugs me, "thank you thank you thank you!!" She keeps hugging me and takes her camera. "Oh my goodness!" She hugs her camera and turns it on. She walks away and talks to her camera. Allie comes up to me and hugs me, "I think you made her day." I nod and kiss her. "Good, I'm glad." Allie goes to wake Brianna up from her nap and I text Alli,

'I gave Kristen her camera back, when she comes to your house in two days just let her talk to it and make vlogs. She seems much happier with it.'

A few minutes later she replies,

'Ok thank you for telling me that. How is she doing?'

'Good, she is in her room with the dogs now.'

'Ok see you in two days.'

'Bye.'

I lock my phone and smile, I love having Kristen back. It was so boring at night not having her at home. Movie nights weren't as fun. Dinner was quiet without her. I mean I loved not fighting with her. Then I remembered she was in the wreck because we fought. I'm glad we haven't fought yet. I walk up to her room and go in. She turns her camera off and plugs it into her laptop, "how are you doing?" "Good." She says looking at her laptop and typing something. I look at what she's doing. "Making Marley talk?" She nods and smiles. "Let me help." She scoots over and I start typing in stuff for market to speak. I make it relate to what Kristen was saying. "You use this editing app?" She slowly nods, "yea...? Is this the wrong one?" I nod and go download the editing app I use. "That was like $30!" I shrug, "so? I want your vlogs to be the best." She smiles and hugs me. "Thank you for letting me do the vlogs." "You're welcome, I love you." I kiss her head and stand up. Allie stands at the door frame and smiles at me, "I love you." I smile and kiss her, "love you too." I hug her and walk downstairs. Brianna starts crawling down them. I laugh and pick her up, "you're so cute!" I kiss her cheek and walk to the living room. I put her on the couch and she sits up. Allie sits next to me and lays her head on my shoulder. Kristen later comes down talking to her camera. She turns it off and sighs, "will mom be mad I have the camera?" "No she shouldn't, just don't vlog around Nathan ok?" She nods and sits on the other side of me. She picks up Brianna and puts her in her lap. Allie turns on a movie that we watch together as a family. In the middle of the movie Allie takes Brianna upstairs to put her to bed. Kristen lays down and rests her head on my chest. I kiss her forehead and she falls asleep. Allie comes back down and snuggles up next to me, kissing my cheek. I smile and we continue the movie.
