Despite becoming a teacher herself, the last hero she'd expect to also take up the call was him. She hadn't seen him in years, he still had his yellow spiked hair and impossible smile. They sat across from each other in the principals office, ready to be assigned their classes and sat in silence listening to the insistent tick of time wandering by.
"It's been some time, All Might." She attempted to strike up conversation, curios as to whether he remembered her or even still had his booming voice.
"Indeed it has..." his voice bounced off the walls but his words faltered with what to call her. "Kyoura, have you not chosen a hero name?"
"I'm no hero."
"Many would beg to differ, your quirk has helped hundreds! You should feel honoured to have such a quirk!"
"This quirk is a burden, not an honour."
He most certainly hadn't changed at all, and in all honesty neither had she. Her dark blue hair fell in a mess around her, only tamed when in a ponytail. Even her green eyes hadn't lost their glow. She looked exactly as she did when they first met, albeit taller. Her attitude hadn't changed much either.
"Then why are you here, Kyoura?" He leaned forward, all of him, in his chair and for once she didn't have an answer straight away.
The UA had done nothing but ruined her life, she never wanted to join the Academy but was dragged there after the incident. She spent all three years there, not learning with the others, but under testing. They needed to make her quirk stronger, more powerful. Only one good came from the UA, a light in the darkness. Unable to destroy the shadows but brightening something else.
"For the same reason as you, to teach," she said simply staring up at his impossible smile.
"There you are wrong, Kyoura."
"Must you always say my name?" She rolled her eyes at him.
"I have not said it in years," he chastised her and opened his mouth to finish his sentence if she hadn't cut him off, only to be silenced by the door swinging open.
"Ah, Ms Majime, All Might." Principal Nezu nodded at the both of them and they rose to bow at his presence. She always found it strange how they were forced to bow, to someone so small. "Please, take a seat." They sat down. "Yagi, we've already discussed your teaching role, so I see no reason for you to be here."
"There is, um, something else." The symbol for peace and justice stammered, and Kyoura knew there was something pressing on his mind but he seemed hesitant to voice it with her around.
"Then it can wait until my talk with Ms Majime," Nezu said, rolling forwards on his feet. "If you don't mind waiting outside that is." The two shared a look and without another word All Might rose from his seat and exited the room, his giant shadow still visible through the tinted glass.
"Thank you for appointing me Nezu." She nodded her head and pressed her left hand over her chest as a sign of further respect. "Although, I hope you are not intending to make use of me as an assistant to Recovery Girl."
The small animal man let out a soft chuckle and shook his pawed hands at her, dismissing the matter. "I read your application Ms Majime, and thus I have decided to appoint you to a teacher's position. I found your... backstory to hold some potential for lessons." he mused and Kyoura couldn't help but raise her brow.
"Thank you." She bowed, rising from her seat to take the paper he was giving her in both hands.
It was a timetable that scheduled which classes she would teach, surprisingly she would be educating many if the classes. Even further to her shock was that the first class would be the top level Department of Heroes class. 1-A. Before she knew she'd be allowed to teach she knew what message she wanted to send to the students, a warning but to also enlighten them with knowledge. No quirk was truly what it appeared.
