The police soon arrived and the media was eventually carted off, leaving Kyoura with even breaths. The three of them watched as the last car drove away in a comfortable silence, but she knew Hizashi was holding something back. However, as Shota opened his mouth to say something, surprisingly getting the first word before the blond, she shot a hand out into the open, silencing him once more.
A pigeon had landed on the large fence at the front of U.A. it's coloured feathers reminding her of the figure she saw walking out of the school before she had encouraged her own claustrophobia. It was a light greyish-blue and she stared at it transfixed.
"Jeez, girly, it's just a bird," Hizashi laughed and yelled loud enough to scare it into flying away.
"I know that, it just reminded me of something." She turned to face her old friends with a furrowed brow. "Before I distracted the press, I saw someone with a similar coloured hair leaving the school's grounds."
"I'm sure it's fine," Hizashi sighed but she knew he was only trying to brighten the mood. Something was off and he could feel it too. "We gotta go to class and teach." He waved his index finger at them both. "Oh, and what about after you two have your alone time, we catch a drink together, yeah?" He waggled his eyebrows.
"Yamada," Shota growled.
"I'm not babysitting you, if that's what you're asking." Kyoura rolled her eyes.
From behind his orange glasses, she watched as his eyes darted between them and the smile on his face only widened. With a huge grin, and some flashy finger guns, he excused himself from the conversation.
"You two keep thinking that." He laughed, swinging his finger guns up and down, before bouncing off with incredible haste.
"You can't finger gun your way out of everything!" Kyoura called after him, her eyebrow twitching but a small smile fell on her features.
"I want to sleep..." Shota muttered, his shoulders sagged and back hunched as he headed back to class 1-A's home room.
"Don't you always," she said, running her hands through her hair and staring after him all flustered.
"You're coming to U.S.J, right?" He bothered to look at her over his shoulder. She nodded. "Good, we shouldn't have to do much, All Might and Thirteen can deal with them," he muttered, somewhat pleased.
"You're only happy because you've got another excuse to sleep," she tsked.
"Am I?" He shrugged, and before she knew it, he was gone.
She stood there for a moment, trying to comprehend everything as best she could. Was it all another one of Shota's logical ruses and was something going on beyond their knowledge that would cause things to go astray? And where was All Might? Running another gloved hand through her hair she turned to enter the school as well, she was aiming to investigate the teacher's office. A foreboding aura seemed to emit from it, and maybe it was just her anxiety playing tricks on her.
Everything on her desk was exactly as she had left it, and nothing seemed out of place. If anything had happened it would have been noticeable, unless someone took care with whatever they were doing. Moving the mouse of each computer, each screen was still left on their desk tops. But what she wouldn't give for her mother's quirk right now, it was always useful for investigations. Sometimes she wished she had inherited her quirk instead of her father's and yet still wasn't even the same. It was much, much worse.
"Oh, Cementoss?" Kyoura lunged out of the teacher's office door as she caught her fellow teacher passing by in his way to his next class. "Can I have a word?"
