A few minutes later...."This is getting serious and tremendously dangerous" the IPO head frowned through the phone, "We're fortunate that you used your time wisely before the bomb blew up."
"Thankfully there were no people around, no one saw what happened."
"...."
"Sir?"
"where are you now?"
"I'm still here, hiding in the backstage"
"After the concert is over, fly to the headquarters, there's something I need to tell you."The last song got over and the Bangtan boys bowed deeply. "Thank you so much army!" Rapmon proclaimed and the stage lights were blacked out. Seven sweaty bodies slurped in the dressing room. "The show was so amazing!" the leader said.
"Only that I lacked energy in the last verse" Suga mumbled.
"It was still great" Jimin said in a comforting voice, "and gosh I loved the fireworks after 'Fire'."
The spy sneaked out of the hiding and ran towards the ramp again. The cheering crowd of armys were oozing out of the venue. She peered her eyes at the farthest corners and she stopped- a shadow again. A cold shiver ran down her spine. All through this while she felt like she was being watched intensely, she stared at the shadow. It was a man. Yes, she clearly saw his black outline. He was standing like a stiff pole between the sea of exiting armys. She leaped towards him through the dark ramp... he turned around and disappeared. Oh no!
Her Bluetooth vibrated again.
"Agent M29 speaking- "
"It's Dae Hyun, come to the back stage quickly!"
Helena abandoned her search for the shadow and cut through the wind after hearing the manager's panicky voice.
"What is it?" she asked, panting.
The manager held a note in his hand. "I found it lying on the floor when you ran with that paper bag. It flew off from it."
Helena flipped open the note- 'This is just a small demo of what may happen if you keep on protecting worthless morons. Don't be in a delusion of being strong and clever, I am more powerful than you think. You are the explosive the Bangtan boys are carrying, the more you be with them, the more they will be harmed. Be wise, and quit if you want to save their life. And yes, don't try to find me, because it's impossible.' The same symbol was stamped below the lines.
The spy stood numb. Who knows that she even existed? Has someone been keeping a watch on me since day one? Unbelievable...
Her Bluetooth vibrated again, it was a voice message from the IPO head.
"Your chopper will be ready on top of the Myeongwo hotel."
The spy clutched the note and slid it in her zip. She heard the voices of the boys and the other staff members talking chirpily about the amazing night. She backed off and escaped the lights, pulled on her hoodie to hide her spy suit and took a cab to the hotel. Two IPO guards waited for her in the hotel lobby. They took her to the terrace and a chopper descended after 15 minutes.
"I wonder where Kim bora is" the lady with kind eyes said in a teasing voice, looking at V. He instantly realised and looked down.
"She might be around" Namjoon said, "Have you seen her manager Hyun?"
Dae Hyun stumbled on the leader's question and adjusted his glasses, "No, I mean, yes, she was near the left wing and then she went inside, don't worry she'll be here."
---
The chopper landed on a clean circular helipad. Helena stepped down and walked towards a car with the IPO logo. The two guards guided her and led her to the headquarters. The sleek massive structure appeared in her car window and she blinked several times, looking at its shiny façade and baffling geometry.
She displayed her ID card to the entrance guards and smiled at the office receptionist. There were layers of security systems every spy had to go through before accessing the lift. She completed the last scan and pressed the floor number in the elevator. Her feet shivered... here I go...
"I was expecting to see you" A serious-faced, moderately tall man in a formal attire addressed Helena.
"Sir" she bowed at the IPO head.
"You did a notably good job of protecting BTS. As you can already see, things are getting difficult. The enemy is growing powerful, and moreover, he's trying to create havoc by violent means. BTS are expanding their fan circle all around the globe, and they will be going to America soon. There's more danger around. His motives are cynical and hysteric. I believe, we are hunting for a psychopath."
"What traces did we find?"
"He sent a digital threat to our surveillance server a few minutes ago."
The man led her to a huge screen and the same message was seen with the same symbol, but with added lines saying- 'I am a man with reasons and history, they ruined me, I will ruin them.'
"This is pathetic" Helena gasped.
"Yes, Helena. There's another horrible news that we received this morning."
The spy held her breath as the man spoke, "The man that you caught in Japan... he's dead."
It was like a bullet shot at her... are my ears ringing?
"Yes, it's a shock. He was recovering in our health unit since the day you defeated him, and we estimated full recovery till this week. But today morning when the nurse went in the room for his daily check-up, she found the man lying lifeless with slit wrists. It was a suicide. Without a doubt I can say that the anti's doers are well trained to not let any information leak. He is the mastermind; his paid dogs to not fear death."
Helena felt like her eye balls could pop out... this was unbelievable. That assailant was a major clue.
"I received a similar threat a while ago" she said and handed over the paper to the head. He read it silently and rubbed his eyes with a pinch.
"The bomb was set up before the security systems, sir." She spoke
The man inhaled and threw a serious gaze at her. "Do you doubt anyone amongst the staff?" he asked sternly.
"Yes. The manager."
"You know what to do."
