2nd January, 2018

Hannam Hills apartments,

11 am KST

"That sounds good" Namjoon said admiring the new tunes Suga played for him.

"New songs coming up!" he shouted in excitement, "There the dancers are done polishing the 'Best of me' dance sequence and they're calling us for the practice. Let's go."

All the members assembled in the dance room. The dance line taught the steps as precisely as possible.

"Oh! Yoongi hyung just got that jump on point!" Jimin said, "We'll soon include him in the dance line."

The spy was back at the BigHit office discussing the further schedule with the manager. She felt like everything has been normal again- the days from four months ago struck her and she winced at how fast the time flies away.

"This is the schedule" Dae Hyun handed her the file, "We're going to the Lumpens office today to discuss new themes for the next music videos. Then we come back and check on the 'Love Myself' campaign. Tomorrow we have some photoshoots for the 'VT cosmetics' catalogue. Then we have a meeting with the BigHit executives about our current rankings and budgets..."

He kept on speaking, and she kept on nodding. The schedule seemed endless. They're always busy...

"And then we have the 4th muster event in Seoul" he closed the file and breathed compactly, "these were the tasks to be done this week. May I narrate the tasks of next week?"

"No, no!" she spat out, "I mean, it's very considerate of you, but I'll go through it myself."

She took the file and went to her cabin. PD Nim had assigned a separate cabin for her in the office.

"Use it during all your hours you will spend here" he said, "Though the anti is no more, your job still continues. Giving a cabin to you is the least I can do for a personal staff."

"Thank you, sir."

Her cabin was like any other polished granite-glass cubicle. White finished partition walls, cute bright lights and heavy wooden furniture. She inhaled the smell of the fresh carpet and the lavender fragrance that filled the air and sat in a comfy wheeled chair. There was work to do- a convenient, corporate, managemental work. And that made a smile spread through her face. She's been searching, spying and fighting for too long.

---

"Tell them." the Head spurted the words out.

"What? Are you sure, sir?" the spy asked

"Yes. Tell them that they no longer need to live under a delusion of being at risk. Tell them that they're safe."

"But are we confirmed of that fact?"

"Yes. After returning from Finland yesterday, Squad A reported of no evidences around the building. The place where the anti stayed was a dark old room with three of his computers and some empty pen drives lying around. There's nothing more found. We tried to track down his most contacted people but it seems like they were the attackers who died long back. We shall conclude the mission."

The last lines hit her hard. Very hard, right in her heart.

"So, I shall bid farewell to BTS and return for another mission?"

The Head saw her wide confused eyes and walked towards her. Surprisingly shook his head and a fatherly smile ran across his face.

"You have a lot of things on your mind, agent." He said, "You will continue to work there as a personal staff and continue to live at Hannam Hills. The mission has ended; operation 129 hasn't."

She couldn't help but beam with happiness. She felt like jumping high and low.

"Is it Taehyung?" Head's question instantly froze out all her overflowing joy and she stood still, eyes trying to decipher the tone of his question.

"Your mother sent your stuff to the office and told me to take care of it. I came to know about this then. She's moving."

Another shock.

"Wh-where? Why? What happened?"

"She's moving to Korea. She'll stay at Hongdae and continue working as a physician there. You'll soon be able to see her."

"But why did she send my stuff here?"

"Because she sold your previous house. To reduce the luggage while transporting, she sent your stuff to you and she'll move in a month."

"I knew nothing about this. And may I ask, what is it about Kim Taehyung?"

"His poster was the very first thing that fell off your luggage bag. I realised how deep this mission would've been for you." he said and walked closer to her.

"I'm talking as your uncle now. Tell me the truth- did anything happen while you lived there?"

The whole conversation had eaten her up already, this question almost finished her existence.

"We-well... I became friends with everyone and- "

"I'm asking specifically about him."
She swallowed and tried to imagine the consequences of her speaking the truth. No, she just can't spill everything out.

"I am friends with him, but I didn't- "

"Oh, thank god you didn't propose him!" he interrupted and patted her on her shoulder, smiling in relief, "I've always trusted you. I know, as long as he does anything for you, you'll not break off from your chains."

She said nothing. Should I celebrate the fact that he cut me off like that or stress about him misunderstanding about my relation with Tae? Of course, I should be doing both...

"Agent, get back to your work. We'll have to be alert for new antis so, keep your eyes open. You are dismissed."

She bowed and went out as fast as she could... as long as he does anything for me...
