I thought about getting a shopping cart and going full on homeless, but it didn't really suit my style. I ended up getting hold of a coupleof heavy duty construction bags, contractor bags or whatever they're called, and I carried what I needed from that, thrown over my shoulder. Usually by the end of the day I had enough to buy some cans of tuna fish and from my dog hunting days I knew which fast food restrooms were better to go to fill up on water.
The cool thing about missions was since I created them, I could control how intense or stressful I wanted them to be. On this one I took my time and took care of myself, because my health was the only thing I could mostly take care of.
It wasn't like Dog Hunting, not as organized or as fun as what Tinto and Lulubelle had been up to. There also wasn't any sex in it, though this didn't matter, because of my low diet and high activity I didn't have much of a sex drive. Concerning the booze, I mostly stayed off of it, proving I think once and for all that it hadn't meant much to me, except as a way of dealing with nonsense. If I made a little extra I might buy myself a cup of coffee the following morning, but I likewise shied away from caffeine. On this mission caffeine didn't trip my anxiety but still, caffeine will spike you up and then drop you just as hard, and leave you dehydrated and cranky, not something you want to be dealing with in the sun when you're shuffling around unfriendly streets, competing with the locals for bottles and cans.
