The Gland of Onyx

Chapter XV 

"There is a war of powers among chimeras at the moment. That wasn't at the Bradador's plans and this is keeping him very busy."

All animists members were hearing the Rico's explanation. The myth was being careful about the kind of information he was giving because he hadn't intention to expose himself too much. About ten people were inside the TV room. The black jaguar had no permission to be in the meeting and was so upset with such a decision.  

Rico continued.  

"The battle is gonna exhaust the myths-sources energy that is who keeps the offspring. Such an elimination won't kill him, but for sure will knock him out considerably. At the Bradador's case specifically, he doesn't get dematerialized himself because of his dry-body, so he needs much more energy to get real presence and to show his face to people. If noticed well when fought against him, you guys saw he looks like a kind of gelatinous shadow. The Bradador's main strength is his dominium over soil. He can make the soil swallow us in seconds."  

Clara and Joshua remembered of the huge mud puddle what almost devoured them.  

"A gelatinous shadow that broken Clara's ribs with just one blow."

The animists were aware that the Bradador was strong enough even had not muscle mass to help him.  

"Yeah. He is dangerous."  

"And if this war finishes earlier than expected? Before his myths-sources be knocked out?" 

Finn was who asked him, but everyone wanted to know the same.  

"I am in command, so it is no going to finish earlier than expected."  Rico ensured and before all the curiosity returned to some subject involving his Chimera, he continued. "He needs to bring his sources out if he wants to get a fast energization and he wants, so we will be waiting for them."  

"Are we going to dematerialize his myths-sources?" 

Rico nodded.  "And how is going to be?" 

"We have to hit their glands with arrows of fire what is going to consume them from inside out."

"Is that how we eliminate all myths-sources or just these ones?" 

"Some." 

"We wouldn't never discover that"  Laila was impressed and Clara confessed to herself that she'd never imaged this type of elimination.  

"Except yours, I suppose."  

All faces turned to look at door and saw the cynical expression of Tibor leaned against the jamb door. Nobody had noticed his presence over there, maybe because they were so concentrated at Rico's explanation.  

The Curupira ignored the irony of his question and answered him. 

"My myths-sources are spheres of fire like this one." 

And after saying that, a small fury ball of fire materialized under his hand. Rico started to turn it slowly while gazing at the jaguar.  

"If you shoot an arrow of fire in it, you are gonna feed it and not destroy it. If your intention is knock me out you will have to eliminate much more than my sources because I have body mass what allows me energize and feed myself quickly. Even if I told you how is the procedure to dematerialize me you wouldn't be able to do it alone." 

"Are you underestimate me Curupira?" 

"No. I am challenging you to try."  

"Enough Tibor."
