Ch /1/

Nikki's pov

     "No no no you don't understand I need to get to London, it's my moms birthday and I can't miss it" I said to the lady at the desk. She sighed getting on her computer.
     "There is one more flight, it leaves tonight at 10 I can get you on that flight" she said with a sympathetic smile. I sighed with relief.
   "You're a life saver thank you so much" I told her. She printed off my new ticket and I decided to get something to eat since I had some time to kill.
I looked around the airport deciding to get some Panda Express. I found a little table sitting down by myself and started to eat.
I finished and then started to look around the shops. I texted my sister telling her when my flight would come in and she responded with an okay. My flight was going to leave in about and hour so I walked back and took a seat in those really uncomfortable seats and just waited.
"Excuse me miss" I heard someone say. I opened my eyes realizing I fell asleep. A lady who look about 32 stood there with a small smile.
"If you're on the London flight it's boarding" she said pointing behind me.
"Oh my god, thank you so much" I said scrambling to get my bag. I gave her a smile and went over to the line. I handed the lady my ticket then got on the plane.
Skip plane ride
"Amy I don't see where tf you are" I said to my sister as I got my luggage. She said she was by the luggage but I think the hitch was lying because she was running late.
"Nikki look over to your right" she said. I pulled the phone away from my ear and looked to the right to see Amy standing there with a shitty sign saying welcome home dickhead. Real classy Amy.
"Real classy Amy" I told her as I approached her I grabbed the sign from her and it was on a piece of printer paper.
I let out a giggle.
"Well mom doesn't have poster board and well I wanted to make you a nice little sign. Anyways let's go please I wanna go to bed" she said. I rolled my eyes and smiled following her to her car.
"So mom insisted on waiting up for you so she is awake" she said to me. I nodded. We drove back to my moms house and Amy helped me carry my suitcase in.
"Mommmm we are home!" Amy yelled as we got into the house. I shook my head closing the door. I heard my moms footsteps coming from the kitchen then she was right in front of me engulfing me in a hug.
"Hi mom" I said hugging her back.
"I missed my baby so much!" She said kissing my cheek. She pulled away and we walked into the kitchen.
"You didn't say that to me when I got here" amy said as we sat down. I giggled as my mom gave a little look and changed the subject.
"So what's up" she said to me making us all burst out laughing.
"I'm just kidding. I'm happy both my girls are home." She said getting some grapes out. She put them on a plate and put them on the counter in front of us.
"So today a few friends are coming over one to see me and two to see you guys" she said. I didn't really know who she was talking about but I just nodded with a smile.
"I'm gunna go sleep for a bit" I said kissing her cheek and walking up stairs. After a couple hours of sleeping I got up and showered getting dressed.
I heard some people downstairs and decided to hurry up so my mom wouldn't think I was avoiding whoever was downstairs.
I could hear them all in the kitchen so once I got down the steps I went towards the kitchen. Once I turned the corner I saw a women with dark hair sitting at the counter and I saw a boy. He had curly brown hair and sat next to her.
"Oh there she is, Nikki come say hi" my mom said making the women and the boy turn around. I put on a fake smile as soon as I saw the oh so familiar green eyes I'd been avoiding.
"Nikki!!! I'm so glad your here, your mom always talks about you" Mrs. Styles said getting up to hug me.
"Haha I bet she does" I said hugging her. We pulled away and she took a seat again. Harry gave me a small smile and I gave him one as well turning away.
"Your sister went to the store for me. Then we are going to start cooking for dinner tonight" my mom said to me. I nodded and took a seat next to her.
"Well kids me and Anne are going out for a little. You two have fun and we will be back soon" my mom said as they quickly got up. I went to say something, I was going to protest but my mom kissed me cheek grabbed her bag and they left.
Now it was just me and Harry. Left alone. Face to face. I could run or not respond. I had to sit there and look at him.
"So uhhhh how long are you here for" he said trying to start conversation.
"Till tomorrow night..... how about you?" I asked him.
"Actually same, gotta get back to work" he chuckled. I let out a small chuckle and then it went silent.
"Where are you living now?" He asked me.
"San Diego, I'm probably going to end up movie to LA for work but yeah. And you?" I replied.
"LA" he said.
"It's nice there" I said. He nodded.
"I'm sorry about your band" I said.
"You know about that?" He asked me shocked. I nodded.
"You're all over the news, hard not to haha" I said.
"That's uhhh that's true" he said letting out a small chuckle. I nodded.
"I didn't really think you paid attention to the news" he said.
"I don't, well I do but not a lot. I usually watch it in the mornings or some shit" I said to him. He nodded.
I can't express how much my heart hurt in this moment. Seeing his smile, hearing his chuckle and looking at him. He was the boy who I fell madly in love with. He was the boy who left me to follow his dream. He was the boy who changed.
