Dallas
Dally was at one of Buck's nightly parties as he usually was. He was sitting at the bar, drinking a beer. The regular amount of girls tried to catch his attention by accidentally bumping into him or sitting next to him and talking about all of their perfect, girlfriend-like qualities.

Dally, surprisingly, didn't bother paying attention to any of the girls. He had his mind on the girl in the yellow dress. It had been two days since he had last seen her. He wanted to know more about her. He wanted to know everything about her.

He was snapped out of his thoughts when Buck came to talk to him.

"Something on your mind?" He asked.

"This girl, man. I've gotta find this girl," Dally said after a moment's hesitation.

Dally stood up from his stool at the bar, leaving his beer. He didn't want to get too drunk in case he actually did find the girl.

He walked the streets, lit by the lamps. He searched the stores for hours until he thought he could have just imagined the flawless girl in the yellow dress.

Thalia
Ever since she had discovered the ice cream shop, two days ago, Thalia had been there everyday. She went after she had prepared and eaten her dinner. She ordered the same thing, pineapple ice cream. She was addicted to that stuff. Today was the third day she had been in. She had gotten to know the worker who served her the treat, Elaina.

It had been a week since Thalia had arrived in Tulsa. Elaina had told her about the library on the west side. Thalia thought she would walk over there and see for herself.

She threw on a maroon dress and a yellow cardigan with nude heels and headed toward the library.

The walk had been nice with the refreshing summer breeze. She arrived at the library after a half an hour walk. It was a large building that looked like any other public library that she had been in.

There were a few other people in there, most there for the quiet of the library that makes it easier to study, but some there to look for books. One seemed to pop out to her, though, he was tall and had light-brown hair. If you took a quick glance at him, though, it might even look red.

Thalia didn't know why he stood out to her, he just did.

Thalia began to look for books, none in particular. She grabbed a few that were of her interest and suddenly remembered that she needed a library card, so she headed towards the front desk.

Ponyboy
Pony had been at the library to look for books for his research project. He wasn't sure what his topic would be on, but he knew that it was due next week. He had been told about the project a month beforehand, but track and his inability to remember things had postponed the project.

He found a couple of books that interested him, so he took them to the book checkout.

On his way there, he bumped into someone who also had a pile of books in their hands. They started frantically picking the books up and apologizing to each other.

"I'm so sorry," he said.

"Don't be sorry, I'm such a klutz," she told him politely.

"Thalia Smith," the girl said, extending her hand.

"Ponyboy Curtis," Pony said, shaking her hand.
