Thalia
Dally had somehow convinced Thalia into going on a road trip with him. They left the gang a note that said they would be back in a few days.

Dally loaded Thalia's yellow suitcase into Buck's truck. They would only be gone for a couple of days, but Thalia wasn't a light packer.

Thalia had taken off her shoes at the one hour mark. Dally had stared at her and she had responded with, "what? A girl can't be comfortable?" Dally had just chuckled at that.

They had been on the road for a few hours, singing along to the songs on the radio. Dally pulled over and stopped the truck. He pulled out a blanket and spread it out on the ground. Thalia grabbed her shoes and went to join Dally.

Dallas
Dallas was going to tell Thalia how he felt about her. In his head, she would start jumping up and down when he asked her to be his girlfriend. Unfortunately, that's not how the situation played out.

"Thal, hon, I'm in love with you," he confessed.

"You are? Oh that's really nice, Dal," she said. It took everything out of her to not scream.

"So, uh, do you love me?" Dal asked, scratching the back of his neck.

"Dal, I'm not what you think I am," Thalia said.

"What? Your not human? Darn it, and I was really into you," Dally said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"I'm just not the type of girl you belong with, Dal," Thalia told him. She knew that this wasn't what she really wanted to tell him, but she decided that was for another time.

"If you think you're not my type, then you're out of your mind, Thal. You're more my type than I am my type. And that barely even makes sense."

"Dal, really, you truly are the best. I'm just not sure if I'm worth the heartbreak." Thalia said.

"Who said we would even break up? Darn it, Thalia!" Dally was starting to become closed off as Thalia, the one who he believed to be his soul mate, had rejected him.

"Is it because I'm not rich? Am I too much of a criminal for you? Well you know what, I don't care. Come on we're going home," Dally had said as he stood up and stomped back to the truck.

Thalia neatly folded the blanket she was previously sitting on and hopped back in the truck. She wished she could tell Dally the truth, but the truth would only hurt him more.

Just because I let you go, doesn't mean I wanted to.
