I've never seen something more pretty and aseathically pleasing before. This cafe was made to be documented on instagram. It also smelled extremely delicious, like I just walked into a chocolate factory or something. I wasn't a huge fan of sweets but this place made me want to eat everything that is in the menu. The walls were made out of black and white marble while the floors were made out of polished wood. I was awestruck by the whole thing which seemed to amuse Aries.

"I told you you'd like it." He smirked while putting his hand on my back. I tensed a little at his touch as tingles ran through my body. He directed me to a booth in the back and we sat. A waiter came by shortly after and took our orders. Since I was new here, I let Ari order for me. He seems to know what's good around here.

"How did you find this place?" I asked smiling.

"I found it on instagram then I decide to visit it." He said and I chuckled. So 2017 of him.

"Is it why they call you bad boy? Because you like to visit instagram worthy cafes?" I chuckled and so did he.

"You dunno half of it." He shook his head as he looked down with a smile on his face. He looked happy today. Other days, I believe that he just puts on a mask. Half of the time, he looks like he is running a marathon inside his head, with permanently furrowed eyebrows. His happiness was rubbing off on me and I relaxed. I guess friends do rub off on each other.

"I've never got to ask but how are you doing with the new school and all?" It warmed my heart that he cared enough to ask.

"Anderson Union isn't the worst high school I've been to." I smiled a little. It really wasn't. The regulations were a little bit weird and it isn't the cleanest place ever but it wasn't that bad.

"You have moved schools more the once?" He asked. Before I got to answer, the waiter had brought our orders. The waiter placed two plates in front of us. The plate had a waffle that was shaped like a taco. The waffle taco was filled with ice cream, chocolate drizzle, chocolate chips and small marshmallows. My mouth watered at the sight. It looked so delicious and I could only imagine what it is going to taste like.

"Wow." I breathed out.

"Yup, beautiful." I looked up from my plate to find him staring at me. I blushed because I had a feeling that his comment wasn't really directed towards the taco.

"Come on, take a bite." He looked more excited than I did. Bubbles of excitement and anticipation filled my stomach as I held the taco in my hands. I took a bite and moaned. It tasted like finding the end of a rainbow but instead of finding gold, you find every magical thing that could ever exist. The flavors explodes in my mouth and I closed my eyes to take it in. It was amazing.

"Wow, I'm really shocked. This is amazing." I opened my eyes and said. Aries smirked widely then took a bite out of his own taco. We ate in silence so we could appreciate the deliciousness of it all. Too bad we finished them too quickly. If my stomach could handle another one, I wouldn't have hesitated to eat it. After that we exited the cafe walked towards his shiny Audi.

We drove around New York while listening to whatever pop songs came on the radio. I wanted to go somewhere else with him. I wanted to speak more to him and know more about him but my awkwardness was preventing me from that. I was a little bit anxious of being trapped in this amazing car with him. Aries was a kind of person who has an intimidating aura, he was slightly nerve-wracking, like a pop quiz that you wasn't at all prepared for.

Both of us weren't much of talkers and maybe we just haven't found the right subject to talk about but hopefully that would change soon.

"You never answered my question." He stated. I stared at him confused.

"What question?" I asked as I turned to face him. He kept his gaze focused on the road.

"The one about moving schools." He replied and sighed.

"Oh, that one." I muttered. He probably heard it because he glanced at me.

"This is my fourth school, my second high school." I answered. I played with the sleeves of my sweater.

"That's a lot of schools." He was clearly shocked as his eyebrows were raised.

"Yeah.." I sighed. People assumed that I was either in a foster home or my parents worked some kind of a job that required travelling when in reality, it really didn't. They used to call me lucky because I get to go and see the 'world' which was just other American states. They never realise the baggage that comes with it and it's not fun travelling when you can't even afford to eat properly.

"Well, it's your last year in high school, hopefully, Anderson Union is your last stop." He grinned a little and I chuckled.

"Where do you wanna go for collage?" He asked.

"I have no idea but I want to major in creative writing or English Literature, you?" I asked. I will probably take a year off so I can work and save money for collage if I don't get a scholarship.

"I want to be a physiatrist." He grinned widely. I never in my life thought that Aries would like to be a physiatrist. I guess I was being judgemental. He smirked when he saw my shocked expression.

"Are you writing anything at the moment?" He asked. To be honest, I've not been doing much lately. I've been slacking off and I've turned into a really lazy sloth. The only thing I do is go to school, eat and sleep.

"No." I answered. I've written a lot of small novels before. I also wrote a small collection of poetry before. But I've never shared it with anybody and I don't intend to.

He drove me back to my apartment compound. I didn't want to go inside. I wanted to spend more time with him. But after that taco, I hit my sugar high and now I'm deflating. I was getting sleepy and I could tell so was he. I looked at the digital clock on his dash board, it said 1 o'clock which means the rest of the group was still at school, maybe, some of them tend to leave early, like Jeffery the other day. He parked the car in the driveway and shut the engine off before turning his gaze towards me.

"I really had fun today." He smiled. A smile that reached his eyes. A smile that somehow assured me that everything is good. Maybe at that moment it really was.

"Me too." My voice was barely above whisper as my face heated up, I was blushing. I couldn't tell if he had heard my reply or not until I saw his smile grow even wider.

"Let's do it again, shall we?" His gorgeous smile still visible on his face.

"Are you gonna search for more aesthetically pleasing cafes?" I chuckled softly.

"Maybe." He winked. I chuckled again before opening the car's door. I shut it behind before turning around to thank him one more time.

"You're always welcome, Hailee." He grinned and I smiled. The way he said my name sent butterflies to my stomach or maybe it was my anxiety telling me to watch out for my mom because she would know that I skipped school but I knew she wouldn't mind, would she?

He waited until I was safely inside the apartment compound before starting the engine and driving away. I took the elevator up and rested at its wall as it went. I giggled lightly to myself as I remembered the events of today. I wanted to scream happily, I felt carefree and like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I was for once...happy.

But all my dreams came crashing down when I walked inside the apartment and saw my mom crying.
