The Ring

These past few days have been hard because I've had no clue what went on but seeing Alex's face everyday made it better.
It wasn't until we were on the way home that I began to remember the wedding but when I looked at my left hand nothing was there so I kept staring.
"Maggs?" She asked knocking me out of my daze
"Nothing I'm good" I lied wanting to surprise her when we get home
"So where are we now? What can you remember?" She said grabbing my hand
"I remember you proposing to me!" I smiled at the fact that I've lived it twice if you thought about it
We got home and the elevator really came in helpful with my broken bones and my strapped up hip that looked like I pulled it out of a futuristic film.
Alex helped me over to bed and helped me lie down but I noticed her ring around her neck as she bent down and it made me feel loved that even though she couldn't wear it on her finger because of me she still had it around her neck.
She came round and sat beside me leaning on her elbow.
"How are you feeling" she asked as I reached over and pulled out the necklace.
"I'm good thank you...Mrs Danvers!" I said smiling as she began grinning herself.
"Wait you remember!" She replied pulling me in for a quick hug as I flinched at the pain. "Sorry" she apologised placing a hand on my stomach.
"I remember all up until after I came back and before my attack" I replied as she grabbed my hand.

Just as I went to kiss her there was a knock at the door. Alex got up and answered it but closed it again after taking a package.

"Look what came!" She said holding a box
"A box?" I replied confused at what just happened.
She came round to my side and kneeled down beside me.
"So when you were attacked you put up some fight and when you did your ring broke and they had to cut it off so it didn't cut off the circulation in your finger but I got Kara to engrave another one for you" she said making me grin from ear to ear.

She opened up the box to reveal a good ring and when I pulled it out I saw the engraving in the inside.

"Falling For The First Time 24/01/18"

"Look in the inside" she said through her smile as I looked inside

"Forever Falling For You xx"

"Aww honey I love it...it's So much better than the first one" i said placing my hand on her cheek
"You like it?" She asked taking it off me and pushing it on my finger
"I love it just like I love you" I replied pulling her up and into a kiss.

The rest of the night we lay and for once we relaxed we laughed and watched tv until Alex fell asleep on my shoulder and I followed shortly after.
