"so Sawyer can I actually be a manmaid for this wedding?" Winn asked causing me to look up from my seat at the counter from behind my laptop to give him a look.

"sorry Winn a "manmaid" what is that?" I asked as Alex began to laugh from behind her beer as Kara and Mon-el were in my boat of not having a clue.

"It's like a bridesmaid but a man!" he responded causing Alex to spit out her beer in laughing followed by giggles from the other two as I stood in shock at his statement.

"dude what did you watch last night?" I asked knowing his answer.

"You'd think it was made of honour or something by the way he's been acting tonight!" Alex laughed getting up and walking to the space behind me and wrapping her arms around me.

"It was made of honour that film is one of the greats!" he smiled causing the laughter to stop and for us all to stare.

"I was joking Winn but at least we know that a single man is sitting at home watching rom-coms!" Alex laughed making Winn blush and hang his head.

"well actually I was going to ask you and Mon-el to be my bridesmen!" I smile watching both their faces light up with a smile.

"im in!" Mon-el smiles looking at me

"i second that!" Winn smiled holding his drink up at me.

"well look at that babe you can stop annoying me now because I've asked them!" I joke at Alex placing my hands on her arms as I turn round and kiss her making her smile.

"hmm that's true." she smiled

"so have you thought about where you want to get married?" Kara asked

Alex smiles at me as we knew exactly where but wanted the secret.

"We're not telling!" Alex laughed making Karas bottom lip curl round the top.

The rest of that night we sat on the couch laughing and joking. Well all until Alex pulled out the monopoly and we ended up in a minor argument and the others ended up leaving after the game finished. When they left we went on as usual and got into bed where we lay next to each other staring out on to the open room.

"So how are we gonna persuade everyone to come to Australia for our wedding?" Alex asked making me feel the need to raise my eyebrows.

"I have no clue babe I really don't but as long as I get to marry you again I don't care who's there!" I replied as I leaned in for a kiss but was interrupted by my phone.

I look down and see Pete's name pop up in my phone. I pick up and after I say hello I can't hear anything except light sobbing.

"Hello?" I asked as I hear a small cough

"Maggie it's Lucy, Pete's girlfriend!" She said softly as I sat up straight causing Alex to follow in worry.

"Hey Lucy what's going on is Pete ok?" I asked putting my hand in Alex's

"No....Harry phoned me saying that he was found beaten up at the batting cages....hes got a lot of broken bones and is having surgery on his brain...they say they found the bat they hit him with!" She said clearly upset by her voice.

I jumped up as Alex stood confused.

"Are you with anyone?" I asked looking around for my hoodie.

"No nobody is here!" She sobbed

"Right I'm on my way I'll be fifteen mins!" I replied hanging up and throwing on my hoodie and shoes to go with my leggings I was wearing.

"Mags what's going on?" Alex asked standing up and staying close

"Pete's been attacked...he's in surgery now with a brain injury and Lucy's all alone there!" I replied grabbing my keys and helmet.

"Right you go and I'll bring some things for you in about an hour ok?" She said making me smiled a little as I wrap my arms around her keeping my emotions pushed down.

"Thank you honey I love you!" I replied kissing her cheek before escaping out and towards the hospital.
