The lack of warmth next to her stirred Miyo awake, as she rolled over and squinted into the darkness of the shared bedroom.
"Izu..?" She whispered out, scanning the room for the boy. No reply was given, and she immediately felt herself begin to panic. He never left this early. How early even was it? She glanced at the clock and gaped at the numbers reading three o'clock. Why was he out of bed this early in the morning?
She climbed out of bed, turning on the desk light for visibility. The room was empty of people except for her. Her mother was most likely asleep, so she was quiet when descending the stairs.
The kitchen and living room were silent, the only noise heard was the snoring from her father. He worked all day, leaving early and coming home exceptionally late. She still wasn't sure what he did for work but she didn't mind not knowing. Right now she was set on finding Izuku.
After heading back upstairs to change into a tank top and shorts, she slipped her sneakers on and quietly left the house, locking the door behind her. She ran down the street as she pocketed the house key, looking left and right for any sign of her brother.
She attempted to quiet her growing panic, and continued to scour the area for him. Maybe he went downtown to the park or even the beach. Despite its unlikelihood, she ran to the park anyways. Silently thanking her years of martial arts training and workouts, she barely broke a sweat from the run.
Izuku wasn't at the park, so she walked the short distance to the beach that is now used as a dumping ground for people too lazy to dispose of their items properly. The sun was beginning to rise now, so she didn't have to rely on street lamps as much.
As she neared the beach, she could hear the sound of voices holding a conversation. As she approached, she saw the same oddly-proportioned man from two days ago sitting atop a pile of trash, talking to someone below.
The man seemed to have spotted her, and he exclaimed something incoherent, almost falling off his perch. She arrived at the ledge that overlooked the sand, and was startled at the sight of Izuku. He seemed to be completely exhausted, but continued to lug trash from the beach to a small pile of items a little ways away.
She immediately jumped down and tackled him, embracing him tightly. "Izuku Midoriya I swear to god if you ever just disappear like that again I will personally chain you to the bed." Miyo threatened, all the while making sure he was okay. "You look exhausted, what did you do? Did that man hurt you? Who even is that?" She rambled out, sparratically checking Izuku.
"Hana- Hana! I'm fine! That man is..er..." Izuku trailed, appearing panicked. He looked between Miyo and the man frantically.
"I- I'm Toshinori." The man stuttered out, sweating. Miyo looked at him with an arched eyebrow, glancing down at Izuku.
"Okay, Toshinori," she spoke, "I would like to know what you were doing while my brother is busting his ass to do- do whatever this is." Miyo stopped and realized she didn't even know what Izuku had been doing. "Speaking of, what even were you doing, Izu?" She asked, turning to him in confusion.
"I- um... was..training?" Izuku said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. If Miyo's eyebrows could arch any higher, they would fly off her face. It wasn't very convincing, but she didn't feel like prying at the moment.
"Okay...for what?" She asked, sitting back on her heels and looking between Toshinori and Izuku. Izuku still looked slightly panicked and Toshinori hopped off the pile of trash, approaching them.
