"Kacchan s-stop! Can't you see he's crying?" A small boy, about the age of five, called out to his friend.
Instead of stopping, the ashy blonde simply turned his attention onto the curly haired boy.
"Eh? What are you saying, Deku? You're trying to protect him despite being Quirkless?" He drawled, approaching the freckled boy. Explosions popped from his hands, and he stepped closer and closer.
"Katsuki Bakugo if you know what's good for you you'd back away." A stern voice called out from behind them.
A girl around their age stood, light green hair braided and a plethora of freckles across her face and the rest of her body.
"Oi, Hana, what are you saying? You trying to pick a fight? 'Cause I'm not afraid to hit a girl."
The girl, Miyo Midoriya, stood there with her arms crossed and glared at the three boys, despite being slightly panicked. What if she couldn't stop them and they went for Izuku anyways? Or the boy he was protecting?
Or even her?
Eventually, Katsuki had beaten her up instead because she blocked a punch aimed at Izuku with her face.
From that day forward, she vowed to be the shield Izuku needed to hide from his 'childhood friend'.
Being Quirkless didn't mean anything. She'd prove it to the world.
