Percy Jackson goes to Mystic Falls for one reason... School!
The schools in New York aren't accepting Percy Jackson anymore and the nearest school to even seem to put aside her past is in a small town in Virginia.

"You are not getting out of my sight," Klaus whispered to Percy, who couldn't hear him because of how she was snuggled up to his chest, asleep and trying to forget the feeling of panic she had before.
Klaus started to climb the stairs of the mansion, walking past onlooking hybrids who were getting ready to get out of the town.
As he held Percy against his chest and ignored everyone, he barely noticed or blinked an eye when one of the hybrids, Daniel, went ahead and opened the bedroom door that Klaus was headed towards.
Once the original hybrid passed through the doorway, he immediately went towards the bed that Percy had slept in when she had been hurt because of the Mikael incident.
And he wasn't entirely sure, but he was pretty sure that Percy's stepfather, Paul, was going to find a way to probably murder him if he found out that Percy was under his watch and was staying the night with him again.
The Scooby Gang of Mystic Falls was probably nothing compared to an angry and/or protective parent. Even if it was a step parent.
Once he set her on the bed, he whisper-shouted, "Daniel!"
Barely a second later, the hybrid that had been called for entered the room, quickly looking around to try to figure out why Klaus had been whispering his name.
He then stopped when his gaze landed on the blue lavished bed that had the familiar raven-haired demigod that seemed to sort of take up residence in the mansion since she was a bit like Klaus' companion at this point.
"Yes?"
"Get a blanket," Klaus ordered, "I didn't want to take the time to get her under the covers."
Daniel nodded while keeping his gaze on Percy, not knowing how or in any way she was special to Klaus.
Klaus, seeing as Daniel was going to go get the blanket, walked towards the door. He had some business to do.
Once he got out of the door, he called back at the hybrid, "And Daniel?"
"Yeah?"
"Head on to her place and get a change of clothes. Paul doesn't like me."

"Why the Hades are my stuff here? Are you kidnapping me again?"
"What would the use of that be, love?" Klaus asked as he sat in front of the bed on a chair, a copy of Macbeth in his hands and his concentration fully endorsed in it.
"I don't know. I can't read minds," Percy said as she rubbed away the crust from her eyes and looked up at the reading man.
As a beat went by with nobody saying a word or making a sound, Percy looked at him with curious eyes, "Can you?"
