Chasing The ONE

Chapter 7- Last Friday night

Daniel

"Morning"  I put the coffee on her table. She raised her head to see me. Nakakunot ang noo niyang tumingin sa akin. She didn't say anything, she just stared with a wrinkled forehead "You're welcome" I said. Pissed. I went inside my office. Hindi man lang naappreciate ang binigay ko. Pinabili ko pa yun sa guard sa ibaba para sa kanya..tss.

I was excited to see hertoday which is weird.  It's like I'm  looking forward seeing her. Maybe because of what happen last friday. Nang maalala ko ang nangyari kagabi di ko maiwasang mapangiti. 

FLASHBACK

"Sir ano ba sa ipinasa kong report ang di malinaw?" Tanong ni Amethyst. We're in a restaurant  having dinner. 

"Forget it. Your report was clear. I was just confused of too many works in the office."  Kunot ang noo siya sa sinabi. Nagkibit-balikat  lang ako and continued eating. Sa totoo lang, sinabi ko lang yun dahil ayaw kong magkasama si Amethyst at Mr. Hernandez. It pissed me off seeing them together. So I made an excuse. 

"Let's forget about business for tonight, Amethyst.  Let's enjoy the night".  Lalong kumunot ang noo niya. 

"Sir" She stressed. "Boss po kita and I'm your employee. Malamang po, pagmagkasama tayo business ang pag-uusapan natin. Unless...kung interesado ka sa akin." Napatigil siya. Mukhang nag-iisip.

Then.. "Do you like me sir? Seryoso niyang tanong niya. I was about to deny it when she continued talking.

"Yun lang po kasi  ang naiisip kong dahilan kung bakit nandito ako ngayon. Hindi man halata, I have a feeling na excuse lang po ninyo na may hindi kayo maintindihan sa ipinasa kong report. I presented my report very clear. Based from facts and my own research.  And I  know your smart, it be easy for you to understand it. That's why I doubted your intention about this dinner"  She was so sure on what she was saying.   Seryoso siya. Damn! Nahalata niya pala.This woman is smart. She's so confident . Totoo naman ang sinabi niya.  Pero aamin ba ako?  

"Woman, You have the guts asking me that." I grinned. Redirecting the topic.  

"YES or NO lang ang sagot sa tanong ko Sir"  She makes it sound like I'm stupid. Nakatinginan lang kami. We just staring at each other. None of us want to back down. 

"What  if  I tell you, that you're right Amethyst. That I like you and the whole thing was just an excuse for me to date you. What will you do?"  I took a sip of  wine. I was grinning. I'm waiting for her answer. Nakatingin lang siya sa akin. Mataman lang ako tinitingnan na para sinusubukang alamin kung ano ang aking iniisip. 

"I don't go with WHAT IF Sir, I'll handle a situation if I'm already there. Ayaw kong problemahin ang isang problema na hindi pa dumarating. Ika nga -I'll cross the bridge when I get there-  So just answer my simple question, do you like me or not?" 

I bent over the table for me to close the distance between us. Napaatras siya sa ginawa ko. I bent more. I know people are staring. I don't care. I just want to make things clear to this woman.

"Amethyst Rodriguez" We're inches apart. I can hear her breath and her fast heartbeat. I grinned. She's scared. "There's no point denying it. I'm planning to tell you anyway. I  didn't expect it this soon. I planned to swept you off your feet and you'll fall for me but anyway what has been done is done...." I moved a little closer.

"You know Amethyst, there's something about you that intrigue me. I'm just not sure what it is. Is it your gorgeous body, your smart mouth or you're fiesty personality? Still you're right. I like you and I can't do anything about it. I'm smitten by you. So since I like you, you have no choice  but to like me too."  I took her lips. I heared her gasp. I tried to open her mouth but she's not responding. So I just nibbled her lips. I tasted the lower and upper part. I can't tell time while  kissing her. She tastes very sweet...I can't get enough of it. I want more..I groaned. Damn! I'm getting hard.

I heared people talking. Sh--t! I forgot we're in a public place. I pulled away. I looked at her. Nakatulala siya. She looks shocked.  Eyes wide open. Her mouth is open now. Damn! Just her lips turned me hard how much more if I devor her mouth! Nakatayo na si junior! I have to restain myself. 

"Amethyst let's go." I grab her hand and her bag after paying the bill. Where already outside and she's still not talking. 

"Hey.. Amethyst are you okay?" Alam kong masarap akong humalik pero di ko naman akalaing magiging robort siya sa ginawa ko.

"Hey Amethyst" I touch her face. I'm trying to get her back to her senses but I was distracted by her lips. It's swollen because of my kiss. But I want to taste it again..Her sweet lips..I want it again. I was about to kiss her but then I was pushed so hard I slamped on the ground.

Sh-t that was hard! My butt hurt..  I stand up immeadiately. But when I'm already standing someone slapped my face real hard!.. I didn't see it coming...damn! that hurt big time!

 

"How dare you kiss me?!! How dare you trying to kiss me again?!! Asshole!! " I looked at her. She looks furious. 

"You don't have the right to kiss me!! You're not even my boyfriend!! Damn you!" She was about to slap me again when I caught her hand. 

"I can kiss you anywhere anytime. In a relationship or not,  you're mine. But if you want, I'll be you're boyfriend." She looked like she's seeing an alien in front of her. 

"Hey, I'm serious!" I said. I'm really serious. If we'll be officially together then Hernandez or any other guy wouldn't be a problem. 

"Fuck you!" She hit me with her bag. "Stop it" I said. I grabbed her bag. "Never in my life I'll let a big conceited jerk like you to be my boyfriend!!" She grabbed her bag. "Pervert!!" She said before she walked away and rode a cab.

Damn! What happened to 'I'll swept you off you're feet' I know she's not an easy chick but I never knew she's this hard. Still, she's a great catch. I won't let her off the hook. I grinned. She'll be mine. No woman ever rejected Daniel Marco Del Monte. You'll be mine Amethyst Rodriguez. And when that happen...You'll end up on my bed. Screaming my name.

I would consider last friday night fun and exciting. That's not always happening in my boring life. Finally after few years, I feel alive again. To me, Amethyst  is a Challenge. And on this challenge I'll make sure that I'll win. She'll be mine and mine alone.
