 Daniel's POV

She finally recognized me. Good.

"Get in" Utos ko. She harshly removed her hand from me. Muntik pa siyang matumba sa ginawa niya.

I hissed. “Lakas ng loob magpakalasing di naman kaya.”

She glared at me then she went inside the car.

I was about to enter the car when my phone rang. I answered the call.

Before I can make a sound the person from the other line started to talk.

"Hey man! Where were you? I saw you in this bar? I'm still here. Let's have a drink."  Si Duke pala.

"Sorry Duke I'm in middle something. Maybe next time." I said to Duke.

Duke Andrei Sarmiento Mondovi. He’s the founder and the owner of Mondovi Chain of Hotels here and abroad. He came from a well-known family of businessman in Italy. The only heir of the Italian Business Tycoon- Don Manuel Mondovi and the beautiful Filipina heiress- Dianna Sarmiento. Born in Italy. At 5 years old, his family migrated here in the Philippines upon the request of his mother.  We met in grade school and been good friends since then.

“Oh. Okay. Anyway, why were you in a bar alone? Business problem?”

"Nah..” I said. Never had a problem in business.

“You’re sure? ‘Cause you know, if you have problem in your business I can help. I am not a business magnet for nothing.” Lumabas naman kayabangan nito.

“I’ll call you if there’s a problem I can’t solve in my business, which I doubt. ‘Cause in the business world I’m not known as ‘The Hurricane’ for nothing.” Nagyabang lang ako nang konti.

Malutong na tumawa si Duke. “I know pare. Kailan ka ba humingi nang tulong, Sabagay kaya mo naman. Pero kahit sa payabangan di ka nagpapatalo ah.”

“Para naming ikaw nagpapatalo e  mas competitive ka pa sakin.”

Tumawa ulit ito. “Kaya nga tayo magkaibigan e.  Anyway, kung hindi negosyo ang problema malamang babae. Speaking of babae kumusta na pala ang babaing lasing tinulungan mo kanina.?” He asked casually.

I said nothing. Alam kung nakangiti ito sa kabilang linya. How did he know?

“Yung lalaki pala kanina, nakahilata pa ngayon. Napalakas yata  suntok mo. Tulog e.”  He was not just there, he have seen everything. He didn’t call me for a drink. Tss. Nothing escapes from Duke.

“May pa ‘Let’s drink’ ka pang nalalaman makikitsimis ka lang pala. Dami pang sinabi.”

Tumawa ito, mas malakas kesa kanina sa nauna. “Man, you should have seen your face when you recognized the drunken girl! Mukha kang masusuka. That was epic!.  And when you punched the man, para kang turong manunusok.” He continued to laugh. “Sorry! It was just funny. I’ve never seen your face like that. ” And he laughed again. Tss.

Kailan ka pa nandoon at ba’t di mo ako nilapitan?” I said. Ignoring his remarks.

“The moment you entered the bar, I was already there. I just felt that you wanted to be alone so I stayed away. Anyway, you’re with the girl right? Who is she anyway? ” I know he’s still smiling on the other line.

“She’s a new employee on my company. My secretary.”

“Oh. Your Sexytary huh. Nice catch she’s gorgeous.” He said teasingly.
