Just Once

184 43 20

Enclosed by heart's walls
With no one at beck and call,
No one to pour your feelings to,
Cause, something's broken in you.

But the heart is too innocent,
It falls for the trap;
Hoping for something pleasant
Only to be broken again.

The Soul gets shattered,
The pieces scattered;
Emotional breeze turning into a gale,
Destroying you, as you can't bail.

But the heart survives,
Dismissing mind's contradictions as lies;
Hoping to be given to someone,
Not to be broken, just this once.

Hey guys, this is my second poem. Some more poems are on the way.

Constructive criticism is welcome.
