Angels and Demons

There, in his majestic throne,
Sits Death, the ruler of Chaos;
Lurking in the dark,
Waiting for people to be scarred.

He finds happiness,
In broken families and souls,
In endless tears,
And infinite fears.

Oblivious to what He wants,
We willingly give the same,
Thus, causing Him,
To crave for more.

Impatient to attain
His cravings and wants,
Makes Him rabid enough,
To plot our ends.

He watches like a Hawk
Looking at it's prey,
Waiting with outstretched wings,
To carry us away.

Yet, people say,
"If there's a Devil,
Then there's an Angel,
Waiting to save us."

With the same outstretched wings,
The Angel does wait,
For us to find,
A way out of our own mind.

Just like the Devil,
The Angel stays hidden,
Searching for the perfect time,
To let the warning bell chime.

As Death uses plan after plan,
To try and satisfy his bloodthirsty clan,
The Angel manages to keep us sane,
As it battles through our every bane.

Many people wonder, As to
Where these creatures reside,
Is it in the deepest holes of the Earth?
Or is it somewhere high up in Heaven?

No one knows the answer
And no one bothers to seek it out,
Too busy in surviving another of Death's Traps
Or too busy thanking the Angel.

In this gruesome war,
Who really are the participants?
Is it the Angel who fights for Goodness,
And the Devil for Destruction?
Most answers would be "yes".

What they don't understand is,
The residence of both are the people themselves,
And it's a War, not between Devils and Angels,
But between the easily influenced Minds.
