The author's note is kinda important. Please read.

She was the one,
That society looked down upon,
And blamed; for a mistake
That wasn't Hers to make.

Her tear-filled eyes,
Pleaded and cried;
She hated their disgust and pity,
And all she asked for, was a better society.

Why was it so hard to give?
When the guy at fault found it easy to live?
You might say my opinion's mistaken,
But, his actions are eventually forgotten.

He manages to live without strife,
Whereas, She's scarred for life;
She feels broken; frightened; misused;
And the fire inside, takes forever to get renewed.

Eyes squeezed shut in fright
And heart clenched tight,
She resumes her routine,
But fails to see Life's glistening sheen.

For just a moment's pleasure,
He destroyed a smile so treasured;
And yet, She fights back with all her soul,
To stay undefeated and reach her goal.

Hi guys. I know it's been a loooooong time, but yeah. I couldn't find time to update. So, as a compensation.... double update?

Anyways, this poem is majorly focused on rapé and minorly focused on other forms of sexual abuse. It's an unacceptable crime, but that hasn't stopped anyone from committing the very same crime.
The people who do it, don't even stop to think how it would hurt the victim and how his/her family would feel. (Rapé isn't exclusive to females alone. It also happens to males - just because it's a really rare case where the male is victimised, doesn't mean that such an incident doesn't take place.)
The physical and emotional pain that the victim undergoes is indescribable. A person who hasn't experienced it, cannot express it and the person who has experienced it cannot afford to relive it. It's such a.... I'm lost for words on this one.
All that I can say is that, we can't stop this from happening. It keeps happening in every part of the world. So, what we can actually do is, keep our near and dear ones safe. Even that gets exhausting at a point of time. We can't always have a bunch of people walking around with us.

But, we could try to prevent people from turning into such heartless beasts. Every rapïst isn't born as one. Situations push them into becoming one. But i am not justifying their actions. So, as an individual, spread awareness among everyone you know.
Look for any telling signs that someone you know might be going off-track. If you do spot anything, don't feel afraid to talk to them about it. After all, you aren't in any way accusing them of anything. You're just making sure they're alright. So... i guess that's all i have to say guys.

Hope you liked the poem.
