***
Hopeless aching heart,
Hoping to happily fly high,
In search of those mesmerizing eyes
That once mended her broken parts.

A million emotions,
And a trillion thoughts
Of various sorts;
With no way out and no solutions.

The pain and hurt increase;
The search intensifies;
Months and years fly by,
But, the pain refuses to cease.

Pain rages like a fire,
Cause, Hope's a bitter liar.
It takes you to your favorite places,
Only to be greeted by insensitive faces.

Frantic, searching eyes never rest;
Heart longs for those unsaid words
And the word's possessor - rudely snatched from the world
During a conversation that never saw its best.

Meaning : This poem takes the reader through a mental journey made by the person from the poem. The person has lost someone dear to the evil clutches of death and is frantically searching for that person in everything she sees as a method of coping. She feels depressed and thinks of so many things and problems but her mind never gives her a solution to move on. As the poem suggests, the person lost someone dear when they were having a conversation that was probably important. At that time the person doesn't think that the conversation holds any value, but after the death of that person, she longs to see how that conversation would have gone. "The conversation never saw its best" means that the conversation they were having held some importance but the girl didn't get to know what it was. She hopes to find solace in something related to the dead person - like, visiting their favorite places, etc. - but fails in consoling herself even after so many years have passed. People say time is the best healer, but in the girl's case in this poem, time intensifies her pain and she accuses hope for being a liar (false hopes).

This poem's basic theme depends on the way a reader relates to it. It can either be romantic, familial, friendly, etc., depending on how the reader interprets it. This poem is an abstract work based on the feeling of loss.

Hey guys! Hope you all like this poem. I didn't want to go into every detail like I do with my other poems. I just wanted it to be subtle and to express the meaning. That's why I have written the meaning along with it.
