To The Light

91 24 6

Eyes red with unshed tears;
Housing a million fears;
Screams out her pained soul, in sorrow,
With a voice so raspy and hollow.

Internally feeling completely void;
Hope and Light slipping away from her side;
Flings out her desperate hand,
For a way out of the Dark Quicksand.

The Darkness pulls her in;
Reminding her of her sins;
Cruelly tears her asunder;
Painfully picking apart her blunder.

Yet, she holds onto the Light,
That's slipping away from sight;
Musters up all the courage her heart gives,
In hopes of attaining the final Bliss.

A Clash between Life and Death ensue,
And the ever-fading Light, she does pursue.
The final blow falls
And she momentarily stalls.

Slow tremors shake the ground,

Darkness - nowhere to be found.

And there comes her relieved sigh,

As Light, slowly becomes her new high.

Hola again.

So... how was this poem??

This is basically about the internal demons and conflicts and how the person fights back and starts over in hopes of a good life even after she had done some huge mistake (it's the blunder and sins that i had referred to here.)

This is an entry for the WP_Poetry contest for the month of february.
