Erica’s POV
Later that night, Kori, my family and I all sat in a circle on the seats in the living room while I opened up my presents for my 18th birthday.
“Here, open mine,” Kori said while handing me her present with the biggest smile on her face. She handed me a large white envelop that seemed fairly light. I guessed it was paper before opening it. I took out the present in to see that it was… 5 Seconds of Summer tickets?
“Now, I know you have no clue who they are, but this band is huge now and I thought that we could go see them together! Plus, they’re VIP tickets, so we can go see them after the show,” She told me. I was actually really happy knowing that we could go together. Kori was always one to love to try new things, and I usually came along with her because I didn’t really like to do crazy things on my own.
“Well, the show’s in a week, I better pick out my outfit then!” I said with a laugh. The tickets made my heart flutter for some reason that I couldn’t figure out. I continued to open the rest of my presents that I had received, with the tickets still in the back of my mind.
After all the rest of the presents from Mom, Dad and John were opened, Mom handed me a small box that was signed from both of my parents.
“Now, we both agree that you are responsible enough to have this, but you have to pay for all expenses, okay?” My dad told me.
“Oh absolutely,” I said as I opened it.
“A NEW CAR?!” I screamed. I was ecstatic. I had been borrowing my parent’s cars for the past two years and still couldn’t afford to buy a new one, even after for saving ever since I got my first job at fifteen.
“Go ahead and take a look. It’s outside,” Mom said with a smile. I sprinted out the front door to see my favorite car in the entire world, a 1968 Chevy Camaro that was navy blue with two white stripes down the center. I ran back to the door where my parents were practically tackled them after I saw it.
“Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!” I exclaimed to my parents. I’ve been talking about getting an old Camaro ever since I was in 8th grade. This was definitely one of the best birthdays I’ve had!
Kori ended up sleeping over that night, and we watched movies and talked about things going on at school and eventually the mystery dream boy. I didn’t end up telling her about how I felt when I got the tickets, but I figured I’d tell her when the concert came sooner. We slowly began to fall asleep but the tickets were still occupying the back of mind and I still couldn’t figure out why.
~Dream~
I see the boy sitting on a bright blue couch playing with his lip ring and walk over to him.
“So I see you got a new car and tickets to see 5 Seconds of Summer?” the boy said to me as he turned and saw me.
“Isn’t the car just gorgeous? And Kori got me the tickets! I’m really excited to see this band!” I explained.
“And now you have a ride to the concert!” the boy said with a laugh and wink.
“Yeah, I guess so,” I giggled.
“Well it’s time for me to leave love but I’ll see you soon. And be responsible with that new car!” the boy said with a cocky smirk and disappeared.
Oh boy, when will I meet you?
