I left the throne room when Zia and her two daughters walked in to talk to Rose and the twins. I hated that woman. It seemed like even her kids were afraid of her. Not only that but Alexis became uneasy and I took that as my own excuse to leave.

I found myself walking past the library to go out into the yard. But when I walked past it I heard two people talking and curiosity got the best of me.

I snuck in the library and hid behind a shelf. I looked through it and tried to see who it was that was talking.

That mage Sarah walked past the shelf and put a book down on one of the tables. "Look Alice, it doesn't matter if you're not with your father anymore. You still killed those people and deserve the same punishment he does." Sarah said coldly.

"You say that like its that easy. You think I want to walk on this planet knowing what I did?" Alice asked. "I didn't have a choice. I either did what I was told or I sat in an empty void forever."

"You could have left him and went to Rose." Sarah said. She sat down and opened her book and started to read it.

Alice walked over to the table and closed the book on her, causing Sarah to look up and glare at her.

"If I went to Rose, Luna and Alison would be dead and Myra would not have been born. If I went to Rose sooner you would be nothing more than a tree just like your parents." Alice told her.

Sarah stood up and slammed her hands on the table knocking the chair over behind her. Blue magic sparked up her arms and it seemed to flow from her eyes as small electric waves seemed to crackle in her blue irises.

"Don't you dare think that just because you saved my life, means that I will ever forgive you for what you've done." Sarah snarled. "You saved me because you had to save me otherwise you would die too. That's the only reason you've ever cared for me. Because you don't have a choice."

"It doesn't make a difference."

"It absolutely does. The only reason you've ever cared is because that beast inside you thinks that I'm your little toy that will fall all over you in love and lust. When in reality I believe you're a monster. You're just like your father and you always will be." Sarah told her.

Alice lunged over the table and grabbed Sarah by the neck, slamming her into the bookshelf I was hiding behind. I tried my best not to yelp as a few books fell and landed on me.

Alice's eyes were glowing crimson as she glared at Sarah.

"Unlike mortals we don't get the choice of who we fall for. Just like you said it's the beast inside of us that makes the choice. And if you ever compare me to that bastard again, I'll be glad to end my own life proving you right."Alice's skin was already turning gray and the fingers wrapped around Sarah's neck became claws.

However Sarah's hand was on Alice's chest sparking with her magic, ready to kill Alice the second she continued her attack.

"You don't have it in you to kill me. You're afraid of where you'll go when you die." Sarah answered.

I heard Sarah whine and the bookshelf tilted towards me and I was afraid it was going to fall on top of me.

"We're both going to hell and you very much know that. I don't fear death but the question is, do you?" Alice asked.

"You haven't changed at all." Sarah growled.

"And I don't intend to change for you. If you really hated me so much you would have ended your own life lifetimes ago when I made you immortal." Alice snarled.

"Why would I do that when I can use my eternity to learn new magic to kill you and your family?" Sarah answered.

"Alex is dead! I watched the Nightshades butcher him. Then when they were done I pounded his corpse into paste! My own brother raped and abused me along with my father! They loved to watch me suffer, knowing it would keep me loyal to them, when in reality it fueled my rage! Rose made me a Nightshade and I want nothing more then to slaughter my father the same way he slaughtered my mother!"

"That doesn't change anything and you know that!"

"I could have let you turn into a tree along with the rest of your ancestors, but I chose to let you live. I chose to save you knowing I would have to live along with you!" Alice roared into Sarah's face. Her teeth razorblades in her mouth.

"Hoping I would fucking fall in love with you and take away all the pain in your pathetic life?" Sarah bellowed.

"Yes!" Alice bellowed. "I thought you were the one chance in my worthless life to be happy! And the moment I saved you, you fucking hated me!"

"You killed innocent people and children!"

"I've never killed a woman or child in my life! I tell them to lay down and play dead!" Alice hissed.

"It changes nothing! You're a monster and you always will be!" Sarah retorted.

Alice let off the most demonic and animistic roar I've ever heard come from a vampire. I could feel Sarah shivering against the bookshelf.

Alice then pushed Sarah to the side and walked out of the library.
