Love At First Sight

 Tuesday, September 30th, 2014 , was the day that Grant Gustin and Candice Patton's life would change forever...

That was the day that Candice Patton was announced as 'Iris West' in the new TV show 'The Flash'. He met her earlier though, of course, during their chemistry read together. When she walked in the room, her gorgeous smile and stunning face made him grin from ear to ear just because it's that irresistible. He already fell in love with her just by looking at her. "Hello, I'm Grant Gustin and you must be Candice Patton." Grant said excitedly , "Yep, that's me" replied Candice nervously. "Are you ready for this chemistry read with me?" said Grant, "Ready as i'll ever be" said Candice. That was the beginning of a perfect day for the both of them...

The chemistry read was beyond perfect and it exceeded both Grant and Candice's expectations of how they thought it would turn out. Grant thought to himself, "It's her, she's definitely the one, she's perfect". Candice interrupted his thoughts about her by physically grabbing him and tickling him playfully and flirtatiously. By doing that the butterflies in Grant's stomach came alive and flew around excitedly. He didn't know what to do in that moment, except feel extremely happy. Everyone in the entire room loved it when she tickled him because they thought it was really charming. The chemistry read ended and so did Grant's happiness. As Candice and Grant said their goodbyes, she left the room. The moment she did, Grant turned to everyone and said "It's her, she's the one", each person in that room agreed. 

When they started working together, doing scenes and acting, Grant tried to bury his feelings for her. He was already seeing someone else, Hannah Douglas, he really did love her and was very fond of her, she just wasn't Candice Patton. 7th October, 2014, was the day that Grant was officially dating Hannah. The first person he told was Candice, he didn't know why he told her because they met a while ago. But he really did liked Candice but he was with Hannah first so he has to admit that. Candice loved Hannah and Hannah loved Candice too. When Grant and Hannah dated, Candice and Hannah became really good friends and all was happy. Grant forgot about his feelings for Candice for he was very in love with Hannah. Candice was so happy for the both of them. 'WestAllen' on 'The Flash' wasn't official yet, that was why Grant and Candice were able to hide their feelings for each other. 

1 year and 9 months later was August 2016, the day Grant and Hannah broke up. They didn't end on bad terms though, they just knew it was the best for the both of them. Of course, Candice was the first to know about this, she was sad for the both of them but soon agreed with them that it was for the best. 

After the break up Grant remembered all the 'WestAllen' moments on the show, from when Barry and Iris first kissed in season 1 and when Earth-1 Barry and Iris were married in Season 2. Though Grant knew that it was a kiss between Barry and Iris, he couldn't stop grinning at the fact that he kissed Candice several times, even though it was just on-screen...
