Candice finally reached the carnival. She found Grant standing by the hot dog stand. She walked up to him, "Hey Grant", Grant's smile was even bigger than his face. Iris looked so stunning and beautiful he couldn't resist and say "You look so beautiful Candice", Candice blushed so hard, "Aw thanks Grant, you're not so bad yourself" and she winked at him, this mad the butterflies in Grant's stomach fluttered. "You wanna eat?, I'm starving" Grant asked Candice, "Yess, wait you didn't eat breakfast?", Candice asked Grant worriedly. "Nah I guess I would rather just eat here with you than eat alone", Candice couldn't help but smile so much, Grant was just so cute ugh, but he only sees her as a friend. Candice still really cares about Grant and said "You still have to eat breakfast Grant", Grant smiled and said "This is one of the million things I really love about you, you care about me so much". Candice felt her heart smile and said something she instantly regretted "Well that's what friends do". Grant smiled disappeared, disappointed he said, "Yeah friends, anyways let's get a hotdog".

They both got their hotdogs and sat on a bench that had a beautiful view of the carnival. They didn't talk or exchanged any conversations. They just ate in complete silence while watching the carnival. It was awkward for the both of them, both of them was crushing on the other person hard, this was one of the few and very rare moments that had together alone. They have the WHOLE day to spend time with each other, chances like these don't come to them very often due to they busy schedules and squad. They both really admire the other person, but both of them thinks that the other person sees them only as friends. Little do they know, their feelings for each other were the same and that was love. They both finished their hot dogs, and immediately looked at each other. It was like the first time they ever looked at each other. They looked deep into each other's eyes, their eyes were filled with love and deep admiration. They quickly turned away, blushing and flustered. Grant couldn't take it anymore and broke the silence by saying, "Candice don't you think this is awkward?" , Candice said "yeah I think it is", Grant replied " Does it have to be? Because I really don't want it to be", Candice couldn't feel any happier and said "Yeah same, I'm sorry it's just" , "the word friends right?", Grant interrupted. Candice felt so bad and immediately said , "I'm honestly so sorry for saying that, I don't know why I said that, I mean we are friends right?", Grant replied bravely thinking to himself 'it's now or never', "We are friends Candice, we're best friends, but I don't want to be that with you anymore, I want to be more than that, I really really like you Candice and I know you might not feel the same way, but I wanted to tell you anyways because it was so hard for me to keep it in and hide my feelings for you, I always liked you since we first met at the chemistry read, but I got with Hannah because I was seeing her at the time, but now I'm so sure about my feelings for you Candice, but when you said the word friends it really hurt me, even though we are friends". Candice was so shocked to hear all of that, she was stunned and speechless, she opened her mouth and no words came out. They stared at each other then Candice finally said, "I really like you too Grant, I always have, and I'm so sorry for saying 'friends date' , I wanted to go on a date with you, a date that is more than friends ya know? Then the word friends just blurted out, I really did get hurt when she kept on saying friends too." Grant smiled he was so happy she liked him back, "Well friend, wanna start our date officially as more than friends?" , Candice chuckled, "I would love that friend." They both smiled and could not feel any happier.

The rest of the day was so amazing, they went to photo booths and took cute and funny pictures together, they went on rollercoasters, bumper cars, and played so much more games. They both were so happy and for the first time they felt so free, and so light. It was truly magical for the both of them.
