Today was the day, the day both hopeless lovers were waiting for but somehow dread because of the word "friends".

Candice woke up early, took a shower, brushed her teeth and then dressed up. She wanted to wear something cute and hot, she didn't want Grant to get the wrong idea since it's a "friends date" but at the same time she did want Grant to get the wrong idea so that they would become more than "friends" . She wore a tight pink mini skirt with a black spaghetti strap shirt and white high tops. She then did her makeup, just her regular make up routine, eyebrows, blush, mascara and then she applied her red lipstick. She loved this look.

Grant woke up way before Candice did of course, he showered, brushed his teeth and was looking for the perfect outfit to wear. Grant always wear casual clothes on a regular basis. However, today he wanted to wear something to change the word "friends" in Candice's head into something more than that. He wore a black shirt, with grey jeans paired with black sneakers. He decided to bring his famous patched denim jacket with him, he knew Candice really love it.

They both were too excited to eat breakfast and decided to eat with the other at the carnival.

Candice made her way to the carnival on her own with an Uber, while Grant took his car. Grant didn't want to ask Candice if he could pick her up with his car because he was sensitive and hurt that she saw him as a friend. He didn't want her to get the wrong idea. Candice decided that it was better off if they both made their way to the carnival on their own because she would have been awkward the entire car ride with the word "friends" running round her head the entire car ride.

Candice didn't know why the word "friend" was all she was thinking and worrying about. She never told anyone that she likes Grant, she does like Grant, she likes him a lot, she just doesn't want to confess her feelings. She's scared of what could go wrong, she's scared he won't like her back, she's scared if they did get together, he would get tired and bored of her. She's scared of love and what it's capable of. Just when she was thinking about love, Grant texted her saying he's on his way. Just seeing a text from him makes her heart skip a beat, even though they were just "friends".
