"Omg, omg, omg Carlos what do I do?" Grant said to Carlos on the phone. Grant just came back to his apartment, tired and overthinking the conversation with Candice he had earlier. "She wants to go on a friends date Carlos, a FREAKING FRIENDS DATE!!!", "damn boy chill, trust me if she wanted to go on a so called "friends date", wouldn't she invite me too? or even Keiynan?". Grant still stressed said "ugh but she said FRIENDS DATE CARLOS, FRIENDS DATE!!" , "Dude, perhaps she was nervous and didn't know what to say? come on Grant, we both really are so close to Candice, wouldn't you know her behaviour by now?" Carlos tried to calm Grant down. "Well to be honest, I'm just not sure, when she said friends date I felt my heart broke, and I literally just told you my feelings for her yesterday, and I felt like maybe in a few days I could ask her out on a date, but then she did, or at least i thought she was until she said friends date, oh Carlos what do I do?" said Grant, "dude you're my bestfriend, so is Candice, I love you both and I know you both love each other, I always knew you both had feelings for each other, well I knew you did, I'm pretty sure the entire world does, it's so obvious, but with Candice I can't really quite confirm it, she's very private, even with her best friends, my best advice is, don't panic or overthink things, don't stop loving her too, seriously don't, trust me one day she would be honest to you about her feelings for you, and those days would be the happiest days of both of your lives." , Grant felt a lot better by hearing those words, "Thanks man, you really are the best, I'm feeling a lot better now, love you bro." , Carlos was happy to hear that his friend was feeling better, "Love you too man, need one more bit of advice?" , "yes please" any advice about this situation could really help Grant right now. Carlos then told his friend, "I know Candice likes you, she's just nervous, she might even be playing hard to get, trust me some girls are like that, so if you want her to confess her feelings for you, play along with the whole 'friends date' thing and trust me, not so long until she would confess her feelings to you.", "Wow, ok I'll definitely try that, but damn thank you so much 'Mr. Love Expert'." Grant said and laughed, Cisco also laughed "Goodnight bro", "Goodnight bro" and then Grant ended the call.

Less than a minute later, Candice called Grant, "friends date" was all he could think about, he answered her "Hey friend" , Grant regretted saying that. Candice felt sad, she didn't know what to say so she played along, "um yeah Hey friend, so tomorrow at maybe 1pm at the carnival downtown for our date?, um as friends of course.", Grant replied playfully though Candice thought he was serious , "sure homie see ya" , ugh why homie Candice thought, "Okay, um goodnight Grant sweet dreams." Grant remembered what Carlos said about playing along, "night friend", then he ended the call. Candice felt so sad and regretted saying friends in the first place, she didn't know what to do and felt that Grant was acting all kinds of weird. They both prepared to go to bed.
Candice's said sorrowfully "He only sees me as a friend".
Grant's said sorrowfully "She only sees me as a friend".

At the same time they said:

"Ugh what do I do now"

Then they shut their eyes and went to sleep.
