SeokJin, in the form of a peppery wolf entices my body to freeze and stare.
I was too stunned to even say anything or raise my voice into a scream. My body barely twitches and instead gawks at the timid wolf in mere delight. The intense pounding of my heart gradually subsided into a neutral pound. I could breathe out easily without feeling the need to pass out.
All my interest falls back onto SeokJin and the first question popped in my head rendered me clueless.
Isn't it painful to change forms?
What predator sits in front of me right now envelops comfort and warmth. I didn't have any reason to dart out of the house and start running around like a maniac. SeokJin ... if that was really his form taps his paw as if he was dancing. My mouth remains gaped open, but no voice was released.
His form projects a rather soft and merciful type of ambiance that no matter how icy his grey orbs were, they were solidly drawing in warm attention. A predator like this scarcely expressed the trait of a killer. SeokJin couldn't possibly be the attacker of Mother's accident. Werewolves weren't the only ones roaming around the wild.
I had been gawking at SeokJin's werewolf form far too long that he nudges his nose on my leg. I tilt my head and the wolf does the same. Shaking my head, he also does the same.
"SeokJin ... what? No, no, I must be dreaming. Am I going crazy? Did a random stranger suddenly transform into a wolf? In the middle of daylight? What?" I rambled, tried pinching my arms and SeokJin whimpers at my remark, but I am completely perplexed. The light pain inflicted by my own hands left a subtle mark.
I wasn't sure whose sanity I should question first, SeokJin's or mines.
The porpoise wolf brings the black tee and underwear before leaping into the bathtub. I made no move to stand up and shout at him because SeokJin had already appeared back in human form. My eyes and mouth widen in astonishment at the swift form reversal.
First of all, that's fast as fuck.
Secondly, what mind tricks was SeokJin playing with me?
Thirdly, am I going crazy from the lack of human contact that I ended up making friends with a werewolf?
"I will tell you everything, but firstly, I need my pants." He throws in a sheepish grin and I threw the pants without getting a proper aim. I looked away from SeokJin and attempted to stand up. My legs, however, decide to become jellies at such ungodly timing. I reached out for the doorknob and supported myself with it, until I felt hands backing me up.
"Holy crap, a half-human, half-werewolf living in the 21st century. How else am I not going insane, SeokJin?" I shift my vision to him, still astounded by the fact that I didn't black out. He releases the hold on my waist and closes his eyes before releasing a sigh. If I was driving him nuts with my never-ending questions, then that makes the two of us.
"The future holds twisted possibilities." He replies and I made the move to step out of the bathroom. I almost stumble on my steps, but SeokJin's reflexes were abrupt enough to hold me from falling down the stairs.
"Thanks." I release a shuddering exhale, anxious at the thought of my body falling unconscious. Seems that I didn't have the mentality and intrepidity to saunter back down.
I glanced to my right, where my room is and shifted my vision to the left, where Father's room is.
Maybe, I could ask SeokJin to bring me downstairs. He has the bold strength of carrying my weight. It wouldn't be troublesome for him, would it? I had cooked enough pieces of meat and chicken legs for him to devour the whole portion.
