To leave Jungkook feed himself alone down there would perhaps be part of my regret. Hopefully, after he devours the raw chicken, MinYoung wouldn't be mad after I attempt to explain everything to her. She can understand the current situation. I can't stop Jungkook from starving himself.
He's far more worse than I am and has no sense of capability to control his hunger.
I don't want to cause any troubles to MinYoung. She's already suffered enough. I want to alleviate that sadness and burden away from her shoulders. Even though she's past her adolescence, she's still a child on the inside. She cares for her Father, no matter what he did. She strives for her best for the return of her Father.
MinYoung had prayed that he would come back.
She found her Father. She found the meaning of happiness for a few minutes. She found the missing presence that longs to be filled in the void. Her Mother may be long gone, but she's over it for the sake of being the good child.
"M-ma ... ma ..." MinYoung whimpers and I inch closer to her frame. I don't taut the woman to wake up, considering how Jungkook absorbed half of her energy. She shuffles for a bit, slightly twisting her muscles and body as her eyes scrunch to wake up.
MinYoung whimpers once more and heavily draws out an exhale. Her eyes flutter open in lethargy, blinking her eyelids a few times before adjusting to the nocturne. Confusion is evident in her expression and she doesn't freak out from sheer panic.
"S-Seok ... Jin?"
I grasp for her fingers and held them carefully. They were quite cold at first. It seemed as if she didn't want to wake up after a short nap.
Her focus falters as she observes somewhere at a distance. I don't follow where it leads to and remain sitting on the edge of the bed. A faint growl and shattered glass follows after, but I don't flinch and neither does MinYoung. She doesn't question the strange sound coming down from the kitchen.
I'll have to knock that kid's head to put some sense into him.
MinYoung sniffs and light tears brim on her eyelids. She turns over to face the window, her warm fingers still intertwined. She is discreet. Her face expresses melancholy as her heart rate steadies normally. She's usually alert with her surroundings, yet it seems as if life is not by her side anymore.
"You mentioned your Mother during your sleep. Did something happen?" I question, hoping my inquiry doesn't hurt her than it already is.
"I never ... saw the proper image or memory of Mother, so I was surprised during my slumber." MinYoung remarks, lightly squeezing our fingers. Her eyes deem fatigue and I can't blame her for feeling exhaustion. Switching bodies for Jungkook may be easy since he can absorb the person's energy, yet it can be quite difficult for that person to stay fully awake.
Another factor that causes the possessed vessel is that they may perceive a dream of a random topic. It usually occurs as a plausible purpose for the person to regain enough energy back. Instead of moving on their own, they'd need to sleep for some time before they can fully take control of themselves.
"For the first time ... I saw my Mother. She was standing on top of crystal floors. They reflected her beauty. It was such a ... a wonderful, no- a quixotic view. How the sun basked Mother's skin ... I felt like crying. She held a beautiful image and face. I could finally ... finally grasp her face all of a sudden. She looked so graceful and gentle when the wind blows ... No wonder why Father feels devastated to lose her."
Her voice transcends into a whisper and she bites her trembling lips. Her eyes are shaking and it's tough for her to focus. She mentioned previously how memories of her Mother are rare and hazy. As a child, not everyone are able to recall those innocent moments. Things escalate quickly and before you know it, you can only recall a few.
